SamDhaka,

They want it for a Specific reason to use it in future.
Guess what that is?

Hi, I am new on this forum. Starting with a problem though! :o

While checking my online status (ecas) I found that the spelling of my name was incorrect. Since my file is already with the visa office at Singapore, how do I contact the visa office to correct this error? Do you have a mailing address of Singapore Visa Office, which deals with this type of requests?

Thanks

Try, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/singapore.asp
and then use "case specific" or "general inquiry" option.

can somebody pls help in clearing a confusion..SGVO asked for personal net worth statement. can we show the minimum POF as the net worth?

Another question, if the net worth amount is very big but somebody decides not nto take the full amount to canada..can that be an issue?

in short i want to know the significance of this net worth value for getting visa and whether there is any hard n fast rule for that net worth amount..

Pls advise..

If you apply under fsw then standard amount according to number of family numbers need to be shown as POF/settlement fund. if you show that only it is perfect and u r qualifying.

if you show more nothing harm. During the application fill up , you had mentioned that you owned property and that is the reason now they are asking for it.

Like i have property but i did not mentioned consider the volume of paper and hassle of collection all those and it may require valuation as well and it requires valuation certificate by company like ISO company. so i avoided it.

so it depends how you have presented yourself in the form.

Also another common question regarding the AOR mail. some says he received it by regular post some says he received by email. it also depends during fill of the form , it depends how you like to be communicated , if you provide email and provide instruction , it will come by email. in our country post service quality is not good and also chance of missing. so it is better to receive email. Like i have received it by email.

You must have to show at least LICO amount preferably cash or in your bank account or FDR format. You may also show other cash equivalant instruments like Sonchoypatra, GoB Bonds etc. in the PNWS statement. Accordingly send the original bank banlance confirmation letter, statement of accounts for 12 months . If you have sonchoypatra, please send the notarized copy of that.

Another question, if the net worth amount is very big but somebody decides not nto take the full amount to canada..can that be an issue?

You may show big amount if you have with proper evidences and you can declare the amount you would like to take with you . You can see the PNWS format that there is two rows almost at the end
a. Total net asset in CA$
b.Total amount you will carry CA$

Please fill the form accordingly. But
the the amount for row b. must be LICO or higher. Please note that this form will be at accessable to immigration authorities at the entry points of Canada. So keep a copy with yourself and take the exact amount with you in row b.

Thank you guys for the clarifications! Very useful imformation u just shared and i'm sure many of our forum members will be benefited from the answers.

@Teaspoon: i didn't show property as POF. i only gave balance certificate from my current account. I found that the global form and the form that SGVO sent me is slightly different. they have mentioedn in bold letter that " i do not need to send any property deed or valuation to them" what a relief!

i also prefer not to declare my land and other assets. i will show slightly more than the required minimum POF as my net worth. i have FD, current balance and saving deposits. wil give bank statements. is bank solvency certificate mandatory or only bank statement will serve the purpose?

@hman28 so i will show that my net worth is equivalent to my funds to accompany in the form. Hope there will be no issues. right?

thanks a bunch for all of your help!

Hey everybody,

I have a few questions regarding proof of funds. I remembered about this now that everyone is talking about fund and net worth problems. Please read following and see if you can help.

I put all my money in a single current account which i opened about 2 months before sending application to CIO. Now, problem is what do I do when SGVO asks for 12 months statement. My account has been open for less than 12 months. Is this a problem?

Secondly, I had the money transferred at once into my current account and haven't made any deposits or withdrawals for past 5 months in this account. My question is, whether SGVO wants to see fluctuations (deposits, withdrawals) in balance. Does anyone have any experience or idea as to what I should do and what exactly is the purpose of 12 months bank statement. What would they like to see?

Finally, is the source of fund a factor for consideration ? The money was deposited at once into my current account by another party. This amount isn't a loan or anything like that. Do you think I have to explain why this party deposited money and do I have to prove that this is not a debt/loan but is my money? If you think I have to prove it, then in that case do you think I should send out any proof I have along with bank statement before they ask for proof or do I wait and try my luck and first find out if they care.

Please help.

Probir bhai,
what is your NOC? Disappearing mailing address is a good sign. it happens sometimes when a application goes under process from RBVO or when MR is issued. Since your status is RBVO, you might get the status "In process" within a week.

good luck,
Dr.Hasib

Get a certificate from Military/Naval/Air Secretary stating that you were deployed in UN MSN from so and so date and there were no reports of security breaches against you from the UN or the deployed country. Attach this certificate with a letter explaining that since it was not possible to get the certificate from X Country, you are using a substitute security clearance from the military authority. In the mean time try to obtain the same through the embassy of the deployed country and keep log of all efforts including dates. You might have to submit all these at later stage to prove that you tried but that country did not respond.
