Hello fellow applicants, My wife has landed in Calgary, AB on 5th Sept. I wish to share our timeline and some of the issues we've had:

Application to sponsored received by CIC Mississagua: 24th Oct 2013
Application received by Singapore Visa Office (SVO): 24th Nov 2013
ECAS status changed from "Application received" to "In Process": May 19th 2014

Once the status changed to "In Process", SVO immediately mailed the passport request to my wife's address in Bangladesh. However we were not notified in anyway that the mail was sent and so we did not know. And since the address was not in a format recognized by BD postal workers, the letter never arrived to my wife's address. By some coincidence we had applied for ATIP/ GCMS notes on June 16th and received it on July 16th. On our notes we saw that the initial review was a pass and no concerns were raised. We also saw that the passport request had been sent on May 19th. We immediately inquired at the post office (on July 18th) and sure enough a letter from SVO was sitting there. There was a deadline to submit the documents on July 19th (60 days from day letter was sent). Obviously we wouldn't be able to submit the passport, updated IMM5669 and visa photos on time.

So we sent inquiries to SVO via the case specific enquiry form on their site. After not receiving any replies, we decided to go ahead and send the requested documents on July 24th, via VFS Global's Sylhet office.

Passport and documents received by SVO: Aug 5th 2014
Passport sent back to VFS Sylhet: 29th Aug 2014
Passport received by VFS Sylhet: 3rd Sept 2014

My wife received a call from VFS agent on Sept 3rd saying that she needs to pick up her passport ASAP as there is an urgency regarding the time. She got on the bus from Dhaka to Sylhet the same day and fortunately arrived 45 minutes before they would close.
She received her Confirmation of Permanent Residence and visa stamped to her passport (issued on 28th Aug 2014). HOWEVER the visa would expire on Sept 6th because her medical would expire on the 6th as well, meaning she had less than 3 days to land in Canada. That seemed like a joke in very bad taste on CICs part.
So we scurried and found a flight for the very next day in the afternoon. She hurried back to Dhaka and packed all night and got on the plane on Sept 4th 2014.
She landed in Calgary on 5th Sept 2014.

So for those waiting on their PPR, I hope you will derive some useful info from our experiences.
Also another note, the immigration officer in Calgary did not ask for the B4 items list form. She passed through immigration here in a breeze.

Thanks for the story brother....

+1 from my side......:D

Sorry to bother, but was your wife applied to the FSW 2013 or other migration program? Does this mean FSW 2013 applicant will get their visa soon?

Vaia,

She has applied under Family class where her husband (writer) had sponsored her....:)

Dear seniors,

Could you please tell me, what are the documents I should need from the bank for POF? And in which currency? CAD or USD?

My another query is, after getting those POF related papers from bank, how much time I am allowed to take to submit my FSW? Is there is any time limit up to which those POF related papers are valid?

Thanks in advance and please guide me in detail.

Hellow All, I am a new member and want to share a good news. I have received my PER a few days ago.

Application date: 13 May 2014
PER Received date: 27 Aug 2014

Now - I have heard that till now the applicants of FSW 2013 (from BD) has not received there Medical Request. Is it true?
does any one know about any person who has applied in 2013 and already received MR?

My concern is if the 2013 applicants are still waiting for there MR - then when 2014 applications are going to receive it?

Does any one has any idea when the MR of 2013 will began to come? (then 2014's can guess their expected time also)

Brother,
Even applicants from 2011 are not finished with there processing, let alone 2013.... Only Allah knows what they are doing!!!

u can use last 6 month bank statement for current account. If you have FDR, then you can also use statement or balance certificate. The currency is in BDT. Bank will not give your statement in CAD or USD.

Just print out the conversion rate of that day & attach that with your statement. That will be OK.

In my case i did the same & no problem occured.

Thanks

2011 application is in lower priority where post 2012 applications are in higher priority so 2013 applicants getting faster processing benefit than pre 2013.

Yes it is true- It supposed to be done in such way as per minister's commitment....

But things are absolutely different....We FSW13 applicants are waiting.....In between 2011 applicants are being cleared....

None of 2012 and 2013 applicant has rcvd MR....

Pray for each other...

Thanks very much Deba.

I don't have any fdr. I will show my savings account's balance. In that case does the Bank will provide me any bank cert.?

After getting the POF from bank, how much time I will get to submit my Application to CIC? For example, after getting my Bank Cert., if I submit my FSW Application 10 days later, would it be a problem?

Please share.

That's because most Bangladeshis case are going for external verification which takes no less than 1-1.5 years to complete, hence becoming a longgg wait for us. You will see Indian applicants are getting visa in short time without any external verification issues. It's kinda of dirty factors I'd say.... But eventually everyone would get the visa by the grace of God almighty. Let's pray :) good luck

DON'T WORRY, YOUR APPLICATION WILL CATCH THE QUEUE, BUT MAY BE IT WILL TAKE A LONGER TIME TO ISSUE PER. BECAUSE EVEN MAY APPLICANTS ARE RECEIVING PER TILL NOW. (AFTER 3.5 MONTH)

Warning
Brother and sister, those who are from Stamford university dhaka Bangladesh, WES dont qualify this as institution and reject the assessment out right.
so sad, my sister did her MBA and got rejected by WES, and when i have spoken to the registrar of the uni, he said if "WES dont recognize our university, then we dont recognize WES" and " our student should go to Canada, cause it a corrupt country. so instead of help, this is what i hear.
please raise awareness on this issue and spread in all the blog, so that our friend from that uni can know and get this solved, so that this opportunity for immigration stay open for them.

I tell you a fact. there are 2 types of applicants in FSW 2014.

1st group - Who were interested about canada and FSW from 2013 and prepared themselves way before 2014 catagory declared (including myself). They arranged there WES certificate when WES could deliver this only in 7 days. there IELTS was completed beforehand. Most of the documents were pre-arranged. that's why they could submit there file in May.

2nd group - Who became interested after 2014 FSW declaration and start preparing from/after may. they fall in the huge jam in WES and IELTS. So most of them are submitting now or going to submit by sep.

So, you can be sure that the bulk lot has been cleared in May. after may maximum people are like you who are taking looong time for preperation (thanks to WES).

Just send your file in the name of Allah! Remember Allah knows better what is good for us!!
