First of all a huge kudos to the people carrying this thread. You people are awesome (y)
Im totally new here and its only a couple of days ago that I decided to apply under the FSW. So I do apologize in advance as Im gonna go all bazooka with my questions ;D
1. I have a masters degree from Canada and am under the impression that I wouldn't need to get my bachelors degree (obtained from within Bangladesh) assessed from WES or any of the other organization. Am I right?
2. Just to be on the safe side, I am gonna get my bachelors assessed from WES. But my University (DU) is not gonna send the certificates and transcripts directly and there are explicit instruction on the WES site about having it sent directly from the educational institute. Any one here who faced similar issues and if you could please share how you got around it
3. I'm a little confused as to the "determine your eligibility / Education / Masters degree " section of CIC website where it says
"Note: Degree program must be in one of these fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy." link - www . cic . gc . ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-education . asp
My masters degree was in Business which is not one of the discipline mentioned above. Does that mean I cannot get the points for a masters degree and will have to settle for just the points for my bachelors. Seems awfully unfair!
4. Although I've been living in Canada for the last 3 years (2 years on study permit and a year on Post Grad Work Permit) I'm currently in Bangladesh for a month and trying to get all my paperwork from here and sit for IELTS from here. I will be going back in a month but planning to apply as soon as possible while I'm in Bangladesh. Should I put my Canadian Address or my Bangladeshi address in all of the forms?
Thank you so much!
