Dear Expert Brothers:

What does it mean by the below response from SVO against the CSI, that I have sent last Saturday...

"Dear Sir,
Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

This is in response to your request for an update on the status of your application. We do our best to make sure everyone who has applied to immigrate to or visit Canada is provided with effective and efficient service. We receive an enormous amount of correspondence daily. Although we would like to respond to all of it, we recognize that it takes resources away from processing applications, which leads to longer processing times. As a result, we do not provide detailed replies to applicants requesting a status update on their application.
[/i][/i]"

I don't understand, whether I should get the reply before QAYAMAT.

Would you (anyone) please send me the exact/specific draft for making the query on MR information, so that I may have the desired response. URGENT!!!

Thanks in Advance. mthjay

I'm doing ACCA, and completed 7 out of 14. Progress is very slow. Besides job & family, study is very hard. I don't know, but it would be great if i could complete it. ACCA & CGA-Canada both have Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA). May be this would be helpful there, but only if i can complete it. Have you thought of anything re. job or doing something else.
Great..continue your study and complete ACCA as it is recognized worldwide...

Apart from the regular study, I am really thinking about something new...change Track or something new or business ...any suggestions :)

Dear ruparupa

Thanks but as you said, "Still some of us will do so for various personal reasons" - then as a well wisher we should suggest them regarding how to prepare to face that situation instead of left them to face the black hole.
That is exactly what Badal bhai is doing...warning them regarding the odds so that they can prepare themselves...you must hav read all his previous posts...those are full of real life experiences..and those who are planning to land in winter should read those posts again n again more carefully :)

Dear ruparupa
As you said they were informational definitely based on experience... thanks to Mr Badal789 for sharing those with us...what i was trying to say is Some of us already purchased Ticket, Booked Apartment and Packed. At this stage suggest us what to do instead of frighten us...

Does this statement make any sense to you??

Just talked to an old friend in Canada. She said this year more cold is expected. Unlike other years, this time job situation is very hard.
This is just to share with forum mates however always after dark a shiny day comes out.
""

You don't need to talk to anybody to get the information that there will be cold in CANADA...   or doesn't matter what that lady is expecting

If you have any suggestions put them in place...otherwise don't make others panic... don't forget they are accompanied by family members.

Brother, members of this forum usually applied under Federal Skilled Category based on their years of experience and expertise on a particular field. Some of them could have applied to other destinations for migration such as Australia or Denmark. They chose to go for Canada knowing the fact of freezing temperature (only disadvantage) only because of the opportunity, geological position (besides USA), infrastructure, social security, medical facilities, old-age benefits, education standard for the children & the list will go on...

Some of us did our medicals already, some of them just receiving PPR's and planning to Land soon. They might already booked an apartment through a friend or might purchased Air Ticket's too, is it a good idea to discourage them at this stage ?.

We can encourage them, we can provide them useful information's about how to get a job, how to rent a house or how to fight with the winter or precautionary measures to be taken etc.

Brother with respect to your opinion or observation we should not discourage them as they already knows the Weather Condition or difficulties in finding jobs with out Canadian Education. Be positive, they are going to face the biggest challenge of their life...encourage them

Thanks
I think one should know both sides of the coin so that he or she gets well prepared mentally to cope with new environment. Badal bhai had been to USA and Canada several times for long and short stay, so his advice definitely carries weight.

I had been to US just four months ago for a month long stay and had the opportunity to see our BD people more closely. Badal bhai's writings on different issues are matching with my recent experience.

A close friend of mine (NOC - 0111) went to Canada early 2011 and recently completed a year long course on "Supply Chain Management" but yet to get any job in this field. Side by side, he has taken Commercial Taxi Driving License and Security Guard License. Until he does not get his desired job in the field of his experience , he will join any of the above mentioned occupation soon AND this is normal over there.

At the end, we gather information from this forum and also from friends & families living in Canada. Both information source tell us not only the good sides of life but also the bad sides of life in Canada but this is we who take brave decision of migrating in a new country after screening all information !

Thanks rana22april. You are very much correct. I have spent 3 years in a row in Canada for my study. Visited US many times then. I went to US also last year for a long month vacation and had seen many people or friends still struggling. Well other side of story is there those who has struggled a lot and now having a nice home, car, nice community living. At the end it is "You" who will decide which path to take. May be you'll be successful or may not (wish may allah make my words turn wrong)...but that is for sure all have to face reality of surviving over there. Even though I have graduated from there and working in renowned US based company in BD, I can not demand and gain 100% confidence that I will get suitable job of my field or desire soon or near future. This is the life over there. But please be positive...have confidence in you...be courageous...wish for the best but always ready for the worst because you never know when table turns on you or you be on top of it. May Allah grant all of our wishes fulfilled.

Please don't take me wrong. I am just trying to share my personal views. May be I am wrong or may be correct. Decision is Yours ;)

Thanks, PQR.

But they should have a professional response process (like Australia), otherwise the applicant gets confused/misguided.

However, they will never understand this.
