Just talked to an old friend in Canada. She said this year more cold is expected. Unlike other years, this time job situation is very hard.
This is just to share with forum mates however always after dark a shiny day comes out.

Brother, members of this forum usually applied under Federal Skilled Category based on their years of experience and expertise on a particular field. Some of them could have applied to other destinations for migration such as Australia or Denmark. They chose to go for Canada knowing the fact of freezing temperature (only disadvantage) only because of the opportunity, geological position (besides USA), infrastructure, social security, medical facilities, old-age benefits, education standard for the children & the list will go on...

Some of us did our medicals already, some of them just receiving PPR's and planning to Land soon. They might already booked an apartment through a friend or might purchased Air Ticket's too, is it a good idea to discourage them at this stage ?.

We can encourage them, we can provide them useful information's about how to get a job, how to rent a house or how to fight with the winter or precautionary measures to be taken etc.

Brother with respect to your opinion or observation we should not discourage them as they already knows the Weather Condition or difficulties in finding jobs with out Canadian Education. Be positive, they are going to face the biggest challenge of their life...encourage them

Thanks

We should not discourage any one for any reason upon any fact or decision. But we should only provide them much information to be prepared for the worse situation. Of course a bit for Bangladesh situation too. Who are planned for immigration must have logic and nothing is wrong!!.

It would be better to give us/them some constructive suggestion and ask to review the plan after landing..

But I think Nijer buddhi te fokir howa bhalo! You should consult with your spouse too!

Dear Colors, c'mon he didn't discourage anyone to go there. I mean why wud he!! We all will go to Canada sooner or later Inshallah! At least that is the common goal of the members of this forum. All he is doing is helping us to introduce to both sides of the coin! I also have 4 siblings settled in Canada & from them I know that winter in Canada is often unbearable specially to the newcomers. Many of my relatives went there & came back after a few months cz they couldn't acclimatize. So every single word of Badal bhai is true. Landing in Canada during winter wud be a nightmare if you are going there for the first time. Still some of us will do so for various personal reasons. But those who hav options to wait for a few months shud definitely wait until end of winter.

Is there any specific timeline to get back on CSI?
Dear Expert Brothers:

What does it mean by the below response from SVO against the CSI, that I have sent last Saturday...

"Dear Sir,
Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

This is in response to your request for an update on the status of your application. We do our best to make sure everyone who has applied to immigrate to or visit Canada is provided with effective and efficient service. We receive an enormous amount of correspondence daily. Although we would like to respond to all of it, we recognize that it takes resources away from processing applications, which leads to longer processing times. As a result, we do not provide detailed replies to applicants requesting a status update on their application.
[/i][/i]"

I don't understand, whether I should get the reply before QAYAMAT.

Would you (anyone) please send me the exact/specific draft for making the query on MR information, so that I may have the desired response. URGENT!!!

Thanks in Advance. mthjay

Dear ruparupa

Thanks but as you said, "Still some of us will do so for various personal reasons" - then as a well wisher we should suggest them regarding how to prepare to face that situation instead of left them to face the black hole.

Dear mthjay,
I don't think its required at all, you just made one CSI..please wait, they will follow the standard procedure. We can also observe from the replies of others that, they first took steps to send MR then acknowledge with a reply. So have patience...you are in the Que inshallah

Thanks
