Dear All

I have some queries:

1. What are "The Right of Permanent Residence fee" and “cost recovery fee”? I am going to pay for ITA. I am applying along with my spouse and a daughter. In my application I have mentioned I shall pay these two fees together. How much CAD I need to pay now? I found RPRF is CAD 490 for each adult and cost recovery fee CAD 550 for each adult and CAD 150 for each child.

2. From where I could get IMM 1017B form? I asked our doctor’s lab, but they don’t have that form. And I didn’t find it in the website.

Can you please suggest me?

Kind regards
Zahid

You can choose to pay the RPRF components later for self, spouse and family. Or you can pay all of the fees upfront. If you pay all of the fees upfront and your application is declined for some reason, the RPRF component is refunded.

2. From where I could get IMM 1017B form? I asked our doctor's lab, but they don't have that form. And I didn't find it in the website.

Did you undergo upfront medicals? Under the eMedical system, the hospital will give you a 1 pager at the end of Medicals session which you have to upload in your profile.

Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding education certificates.
Besides ECA report, CIC asks for the certificates and translations as well.
1. Do they need be notarized for CIC (the ECA provider did not ask for that)?
2. I saw a requirement by CIC to translate by certified translator, which means (according to their glossary): A member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada.
Does it mean that I need to use only specific Canadian translators? If so, which?

Thanks!

If the certificates are in a language other than English or French, you'l need to upload a scanned copy of the original and a scanned copy of the notarized translation.

Not really. It can be done outside Canada as well but it will need to be notarized.

I have 2 years bachelor degree in Information Technology and
2 years Master degree in Computer Science.

I got ECA report from CES, UT as "4 Years Bachelor degree from a recognized university"

Please let me know that is this correct evaluation of my education credentials or it should be Master Degree. As somebody told me that in similar case he got ECA report as Master degree from WES.

It appears correct given how you've described your educational details here.

One way to confirm what 'somebody' says is to get a FREE provisional assessment from WES to see how they evaluate your credentials.

Do that here ---> http://www.wes.org/ca/immigrants/preliminary.asp

Thank you for your response.

As I am applying for ITA now, should I pay “cost recovery fee” first and later "RPRF"?
What I have to show to doctor for upfront medical exam. Do I need IME no.?

You can choose to pay the RPRF component now or later if and when CIC requests for the same.

To get the upfront medicals one, book an appointment with the hospital. They'll tell you what to carry along, take a copy of the ITA letter if you've already got one.

Hi All,

I have received my PNP and I'm at 1045 points with PNP and I think get an ITA IN THIS DRAW.

I have a query. On my passport first Page, my name is spelled wrong but is amended on the next page. My other Canadian document have correct name on it. I also have an affidavit from refer my correct name on third page.

My question is should I get the new passport from Indian Embassy or I can submit it with the affidavit as I have done for other purposes.

Thanks in advance.

If could get a new passport, you will save lot of time and will not suffer from other's mistake (if someone just checks ur name on 1st page and misses amendment on the other page). You can decide what to do.
