308 Total - I know my score is low without a job offer.

1. What is this skill transferability ?? Can i add mine, my experience is in india with 7+ years in software
2. To enter into the pool do i need to register first in the job bank and get an offer?

you need to Get WES ECA for yourself and your wife you must need PPC and other all relevant document before your apply

Could you please let me know howmuch i sould get in IELTS equivalent CBL

My Ielts is S=7.5 = CBL = ?
R= 6.5 = CBL= ?
W=5.5 = CBL = ?
L = 5.5 = CBL = ?

please somebody help me to count

Sorry previously i said yes, but below link clearly says
If you are applying in NOC 0 or A need to get CLB7 which is 6.0 in all sections

There are different criteria based on which points will be caculdated.

Total points 1200


(a) for a foreign national who has no accompanying spouse or common-law partner
(i) a maximum of 500 points for the core human capital factors,
(ii) a maximum of 100 points for skill transferability factors, and
(iii) a maximum of 600 points for either a provincial nomination or a qualifying offer of arranged employment; and

(b) for a foreign national who has an accompanying spouse or common-law partner

(i) a maximum of 460 points for the core human capital factors,
(ii) a maximum of 40 points for accompanying spouse or common-law partner factors,
(iii) a maximum of 100 points for skill transferability factors, and
(iv) a maximum of 600 points for either a provincial nomination or a qualifying offer of arranged employment.

It is as a good as - no PR if no job, for the commonly skilled people.. sad but it looks close to impossible to get PR without job.
And getting a job itself for us, from outside of Canada is another big hurdle.
Only those who are really lucky or having very specif-in-demand skills, will sail thru.

Really they have come up with a quite complex system this. Getting reduced my score if i get marry which I certainly will in 3 months. Now lets see what chances it brings to all of us.

yes 600 points for job is the crucial one. Hope for the best.
