113 days today. ECAS still on 'Application Received'. I want to cry :(

Your BG check is already in progress. People have gotten PPR from Application Received. There is no rhyme or reason to this thing, just try to keep the faith.

silmarilli103 - Relax. If you read the mid year report published by CIC, you would have seen only 655 approved as of July 06. There are many waiting.

Cic anways had declared 80% of applications will be processed within 6 months (180 days!!).

YamPower and Purohit, thank you for your support guys! I panic only because I need to travel for 3 weeks next month outside of Canada which may complicate things if the PPR request comes in end of August or while I am away - only 30 days to submit! AND my passport has only two empty pages, one of which may go towards the temp work visa I am finally applying for today after all that wait.. I will have to apply for a new passport in September then and update CIC if I still haven't got my PPR. It's just slightly more complicated with my travel and passport situation.

Also, on that report, only 655 approved looks like a very small and almost incorrect number to me - I could have sworn we saw many more on this forum alone get approved! But hey, my two cents, I could be wrong..

That report is about 1 month old now. There looks to have been a lot that got approved towards the end of July.

Let all hope ours is on the way this week.

Depending on the rules of your country, you could apply for the PP and get it back before your trip. Check to find out.

Hey guys, I just got asked for updated proof of travel history. But I'm a travel virgin. What proof must I submit? Haven't travelled before. Why did I get asked for this?

You got a message in MyCIC just now?

That's a good sign! It means they are on the verge of finalizing your application and want to reconfirm your travel history. Provide a blank form as proof of your travel virginity and attach a note of explanation as well (if you want to).

All the best!

Thankd Asivad. I think I should do that. Maybe I should scan all the empty pages of my passport as well.

That will be an overkill but why not! :D

And scans of any previous passports if you had any. You can send an LOE stating that you've never travelled before and that you've held no other passport(s) other than the ones you've sent.

Thanks for the advice, Yampower. I just took a second look at the letter, it doesn't say "Updated". It just says to provide "Proof of travel history".

I suspect it is sent out instead of Schedule A because they want to reconfirm that you've never traveled outside your country of citizenship. Does it mention which particular form you should send?
