From my observations, the really good sign is when both your BG check is "In progress", and your ECAS is "In process". Once they're both at that, you can reasonably expect PPR, judging by my experience and experience of several other posters. If only one of those indicators is in the desired state, you'll have to wait for the other one to change first.

To add on to that, I haven't yet seen an example of a member having ECAS as "In Process" and waiting for more than a week to have BG as "In Progress" eventually leading to their PPR but there are many instances of having BG as "In Progress" and waiting for ECAS to catch up...

I would not love to be proved wrong here given my own ECAS status changed today but do let me know if I've got it wrong.

It had been no changes for 2 months but all of sudden CIC is moving fast for my application.
I'm happy now!!! Cheesy I hope they would ask me PPR next week and all of you guys who have applied for PR in April too(keep fingers crossed)

I have ITA under FST i dont need ECA . only BG and im getting nervous coz i see lot of ppl get PPR who got AOR later than me. someone had 1 day BG process and done. i got AOR at march 22. BG more then 1 month now. i have lived only 1 country where i came from ...... still no answer no update .....

My ECAS is still not accessible. Its been 2 mths. I dropped 2 technical CSE with no reply so far. Called cic this morning and told to drop another email :-X

Pls advise if any other action i can do. BG check is still not started. Stay hopeful but waiting without clarity of status is x__x

Hi all,

I need you advise.
I have recently graduated from my Masters in Electrical engineering from a university in BC. I have one year of co-op experience in Canada and close to 3 years of lecturer experience back Home. I have got a job as electrical engineering and working in BC.
I understand the BC PNP is closed now and probably will start from July. Will you please advise which process should I go for applying PR? I have given the IELTS and police clearance is under processing.
I shall highly appreciate your help.
