Hi @legalfalcon, I hope you're doing well! I need your opinion on my GCMS notes.

My status is:

Eligibility - Passed
Criminality - In Progress
Under 'Notes' it says Criminality pending Biometrics results

I gave my biometrics on November 16, 2020.
I called an agent last week, and they told me my Security is passed.
However, it is blank in my GCMS notes which I assume is normal.

Under 'Notes', it mentions Photograph taken several times yet blurry.
Is there anything I can do about this? Would this cause a delay in processing my criminality?

Here's what it says under Info Sharing, if it helps at all:

Biometric - FCC Detail
Status: Ready to be Assessed

HI, which service canada centre in Vancouver did you gave biometrics? I gave biometrics on nov 17 and I have not seen any movement in my file also.

I choose Sinclair and I don't know why service canada centers can't even take a photo correctly. I would let you know about my case once I receive my gcms notes.

Any idea how long the GCMS notes are taking these days. It used to be 30 - 40 days but i remember reading somewhere that they're taking 90+ days now.

The security on page 2 and other pages is redacted and this shows as blank when it is in progress or passed. You will see S15 / 16 on the top right side of that page. This is an indication that the BGC has started or completed.


As regards the photo, after your application is approved, you will provide a photo fro your PR card.

Four Country Conference ( FCC ), where your biometrics are shared, is ready to be assessed, but has not been completed and this is why your criminality is pending.

It is all over the place. The GCMS notes are processed under the Access to Information Act and as per section 7 IRCC has to release them within 30 days. However, currently there are delays, and extensions of 90 days.

This looks good and your eligibility is recommended passed. To see when your eligibility will be conclusively passed

Just wait for an officer to make a final determination on your eligibility after which your security will start.

Thank you...seems some work being done. Since early Dec. our medicals expired and portal changed to *you do not need a medical* but today changed to Jan 22, 2021, you passed the medical.

I would assume some extension but do we have to raise web form to find out how long it was extended to?

Your meds are extended. You can send a webform or call to know how long they were extended for.

I got it yesterday and it took 30 days.

GCMS notes for Sponsor and Principal Applicant is different or it comes together ?

I have requested noted for both SPONSOR Principal Applicant and I got notes which says family class sponsorship.

Still taking 30-40 days unless there is any mistake on your form and you have to resend it.

You have to specify which file you want, the person sponsoring or sponsored.

It depends on whether you request GCMS notes under Privacy Act or Access to Information Act. Under Privacy Act IRCC cannot take extensions of more than 30 days, under ATI Act the extensions are up to 90 days.

Also, in October and November there are significant delays, but slowly the things are getting back to normal, but will take time.

Anyone applied for notes from ApplyGCMS? It’s been 37 days for me and the status now says IRCC requested extension. I’m wondering if this third party website is a scam or not. I should have done my research before but the website looked so legit!
