So my question is, does my Eligibility stage is really passed? how about my spouse Eligibility stage? does it mean both of us has passed the Eligibility stage or not?

So is it safe to say that we are on Criminality stage now? I have not get my biometrics done for PR, but I've done my RCMP and no criminality detected.

Hi buddy,

Whay is status of your application.

FYI i've same officer as yours , it'll be helpful if you can share status with me.

Thank you.

Hi, its still the same status.
Eligibility passed, Criminality & info sharing in progress, Security not started.

Do you have PRBIO on you gcms notes? Seems like they have not flipped my biometrics status to "We have received your fingeprints". I'm biometrics exempt btw

@caipsnotes @legalfalcon I am a CEC inland applicant and I reside in Canada, but I didn't do enough research and ordered my notes in October 2020 through a third party. I got hit with a 90-day extension so I still haven't received those notes. I re-ordered my notes in December through the ATIP website directly, as I've heard there's a chance I might get it earlier this way.

My question is, besides losing $20, does ordering GCMS notes through a third party despite being in Canada negatively impact my application? My understanding is that GCMS notes don't delay or affect my application. However, would it cause an officer to raise an eyebrow as to why the first time I ordered GCMS notes is through a third party (signalling that I'm outside of Canada) and the second time I ordered the notes I was somehow in the country. Please advise - thanks!

Requesting your information under the Access to Information Act is our right and has no impact on the processing of your application.

IRCC has already clarified this:

Also, when you request your GCMS notes under the Privacy Act, the maximum extension IRCC can seek is an additional 30 days, as compared to 90 days under the Access to Information Act.

It does not matter how you request, what matters is under what law you request. See https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=464&top=1

The security related info is usually redacted in the GCMS notes. Usually there will be 3-4 activities under security before the security is completed.

On an average it takes 110 days for the security screening to be initiated.

As per note 2, the status is "not started." So either your security has been initiated but not started by the partner agencies.

Also, you have s26 redaction on this page.

Information about another individual

26 The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any personal information requested under subsection 12(1) about an individual other than the individual who made the request, and shall refuse to disclose such information where the disclosure is prohibited under section 8.
If you requested GCMS notes and you had other individuals in your application, and if they did not give you a consent then this section is used to redact their info.

To read on security and how it is done see https://bit.ly/3iaqGvE

@legalfalcon .So usually there will be 3-4 Security notes in order to be completed?

And yes, my spouse is also in my application but I forgot to send my spouse consent form to ATIP when I requested this GCMS notes. So is that why my 1st Security notes is blank?

Extensions for Gcms Notes are possible whether you apply directly under the Privacy Act or using a 3rd party under the Access to Information Act. If using a 3rd party extensions can be 30 , 60 , 90 days. 60 days is what is more common with IRCC though some 3rd party provider(s) is/are experiencing 90 days

With requests under the Privacy Act the extension if taken is 30 days. See the last line of this extract from the policy documents that instructs ATIP analysts how/when to take extensions.

Also Gcms Notes has no effect on your application good or bad. It will not speed up things or change the outcome nor will it result an IRCC immigration officer having to review your immigration file just because Gcms Notes were requested. You can see some of the official statements from IRCC here http://bit.ly/2LUoxYN

If it's bank it can mean that its underway or even completed.

If you obtain your Gcms Notes from IRCC and security has been initiated then it will be redacted. On the other hand if you obtain the same information from CBSA then usually that information is not redacted see below. CBSA will also redact it once its complete

To see the differences in obtaining the Gcms Notes from IRCC vs CBSA see https://bit.ly/34nuJPu

You can also see the online version of the CBSA security screening manual https://bit.ly/3mqHP5I

Counterfoil only means an official document that will be placed on your passport, i.e. PR Visa since you are not from a visa exempt country.

CEC and fSW are based on your factors and the on the requirements you meet.
