Please @legalfalcon do we also get GCMS note from CBSA in our email (soft copy) like it is with IRCC? I heard CBSA always send hard copy to mail by post.
Initially CBSA was sending the info in a CD via postal mail. However, due to the pandemic, they are now sending it by email for most requests, just like you receive it from IRCC.

To read more on requesting GCMS notes via IRCC vis-a-vis CBSA, see https://bit.ly/3dclabk

Is note 8 the R10 - completeness check note? If it is then it only looks into that all documents are on file and not your work reference. Verification made with employers are redacted and not disclosed. If you have any redactions in your notes for eligibility, that would be the note for the verification and the summary the officer entered in after he spoke to the employer.

Assessment, i.e. what you see on page 2 is not reflected on the MyCIC account. That is only available in your GCMS notes, by calling IRCC over the phone or in a webform response.

For webform responses see https://bit.ly/3pk0Yqs
You are right, its the R10 completeness check. Attaching the same for your review and further advice.

But, I did not see any noted or summary entered by the officer for the verification of employement. FYI, employee was sent an email asking for company profile and confirmation of employment during the said period.

Tnx @legalfalcon

During R10 - completeness check, IRCC only ensures that all documents are on file, not that your documents meet the eligibility criteria, which is done later. Also, employment verifications are initiated after the R10 stage. Your other notes may have employment verification if it has not been redacted, which it usually is.

If your employment verification was done, there is no need to be concerned, if your eligibility is not passed.

Are most GCMS requests getting hit with extensions recently? If so when do hey usualy tell you about the 90 day extension?
IRCC is continuing to send extensions for some requests. If an extension is sought, it has to be informed with an extension notice within 30 days of filing the request. 49% of all requests filed with IRCC as per 2019-2020 report were delayed.

Instead of requesting GCMS notes from IRCC, you should consider requesting them from CBSA. To read more on this, see https://bit.ly/3plJ9Y4

If your security is passed, then your eligibility is passed too.

If you had employer verifications, then they would have been entered in the notes, but not all notes are subject to release, some may be redacted.

I already have a pending GCMS notes request, is it okay to ask for both GCMS and CBSA at the same time? Thinking about getting CBSA anyways cause i'm sick of these possible GCMS delays

IRCC and CBSA are two separate federal agencies and you can request information form either or both of them. Given that CBSA receives way less requests as compared to IRCC, CBSA ATIP is more responsive. see https://bit.ly/3plJ9Y4

And yes, you can request GCMS notes from IRCC and CBSA at the same time.

The GCMS notes are processed and released pursuant to the Access to Information act, whereas the processing of your application happens pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. IRCC in one of its twitter responses has clarified:

Hello @legalfalcon

Hey Falcon, I got a query

I'm a March 7, 2020, AOR CEC applicant (With spouse as a dependent), Biometrics was done on Oct 13, 20202. While doing bio, my wife had issues as her hands were so dry so fingerprints were not clear as the officer commented. I got the GCMS notes today and one of the latest notes on file is

But under Client Details for her, I see this

And the overall status of the file is

My query is since they marked bio as completed under client details, the biometrics is literally done, right? Or do I need to book another appointment for her and get it done again?

Hello @legalfalcon

Hey folks, I got a query

No the biometrics is done.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/identity-management/biometrics/administration/fingerprints.html

When CIBIDS advises officers of a poor quality fingerprint, the officer should attempt to take the fingerprint again.

However, the officer can also choose to accept the poor quality fingerprint. The officer must select the appropriate reason for why a poor quality fingerprint was accepted. Officers have the option of including additional notes and should define and record alternative reasons for the acceptance, where appropriate.

The information is displayed in the Global Case Management System (GCMS) and is visible to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) officer assessing the application.
