Here's some good news for all those of you hoping to apply for possible PNP's. Alberta will be sending letters of Ineterest on January 27. If I were applying I would make sure I have all my documents in place and make sure you tick that you want to live in 'All Provinces'.

My apologies I misread. You need to have a job in Alberta for this. I guess this will not go out to overseas applicants for Inland applicants in other Provinces.

Maybe they have only a small quota for this.

AINP is only for the inland applicants, one of the worst PNP programs so far. Most of the cases it takes more than two years just to get the nomination (can’t be used in EE) though. It’s been more than 13 months I have applied for AINP, but still waiting for the nomination.

How can this be? The whole purpose of the PNP's is for migration to a certain part of Canada. The Provinces nominate you but it's the Federal government controlling the processing of immigration applications. Why would a person waste time and effort preparing their application if they were not going to get an immigration benefit? Why would a Province employ processing officers if the applicant who they gave the nomination to could not live and work in their Province? Is there something I am missing?

Bro, your questions and concerns are very valid ! and all these should be answered by an AINP officer. And FYI you are missing the waiting experience that all of us are experiencing at this moment , otherwise you would know why this program is damn frustrating & worst. Regarding work & living its is different/mixed experience for different people with different occupations.
In short not easy or same for evry applicant who applied to AINP

fixed your post.
you should get your nomination in the next 3 to 9 months. A friend of mine is March 2014 AINP applicant and she got nomination recently.

If what mnhasan621 says is true, then its good that your friend got the nomination, but unfortunately he or she cannot use it to get the 600 CRS points.

That's why I fixed his post ;D
AINP used to be good years ago, when candidates get nomination in just few weeks. Starting 2014 it went straight downhill just as many things are now in this province. Now who knows how many applicants will not use nomination certificates after they get them. By the time they get nominated it's probably outdated and useless.
I didn't need AINP to get ITA anyway.

This is really bizarre. Given that only so few people are eligible to apply it doesn't make sense why it takes long to process. My only guess that makes some sense is that there are a shortage of processing officers in comparison to the number of people who have applied.

I have already applied for Express Entry in September 2015.

After that I received Alberta nomination in December 2015.

I am expecting a reply from EE before end of February, so now I do not know what to do with the nomination letter.

Some friends advised me to apply in the old provincial nominee program (paper based & 1 year processing) in parallel with the EE application.

But I am hoping tol get a reply to my EE application.

Any advices ?

I personally had filed application with AINP nomination letter, just before it expires. However given that you're several months into EE already, I'd say do nothing with the AINP nomination
