Juat want as an estimate, can somebody give the total amount of time being taken in getting the PR stamped on the passport after getting AINP, as in how much time is taking on average for the whole process nowadays?

6 - 10 months?

I posted a message regarding this just yesterday. (Actually you can find it in the previous page on this thread.)

Anyway, here's the link to the post: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/alberta-immigrant-nominee-program-h1b-holders-cic-process-t11870.0.html;msg182076#msg182076

Hope this helps.

Do i need STate PCC

Hey Guys ,
I received my nomination last week. I am planning to submit my application to CIC with my expired PCC and without the proof of fund. I will be submitting my PCC request in the meantime. Once CIC asks for PCC, by that time I will already have the new PCC, with me, so I can send them immediately. I need my passport right now, and therefore dont want to give it to the consulate.
Has anyone submitted application with expired PCC and without the proof of funds.

Also how do i know if I need State PCC in US. and can I send the same fingerprints to West virginia to get new FEderal PCC, and do I have to go through the same process with desi consulate too.

Please advise , if you had similar questions, or if you know better.
Thanks

I think it is better to send PCC along with application, when did your PCC expire? I dnt think sending expired PCC is a good idea - i have heard if you go in person the consulate just needs a photocopy of your passport & they return the passport the same time. They will ask for your PCC from state later "if they require it"...but it is a good idea to send it early - just in case they require it later and might cause delay in your case (this is what i have read in some post- would be helpful if someone gone through this could give some inputs)
i dnt think there is any fingerprinting in consulate.

Hi friends

I sent Dic. 08/ 2009 AINP forms and documents , my H1B status will expire July 31 2010 is my last year and i can't to renew . I need advise because i think the AINP approval will be after of expiration date of my H1B . What should do?. Is mandatory renewal H1B or I might wait in my country (Chile). Please give me an advice. Thank you in advance.

A question to the veterans here:
i am planning on sending my file to Buffalo next month, I am still on H1B visa here no layoffs at my company.
lets say i go with the process, get my canadian visa and everything. do i have to land in alberta? or can i land anywhere else and do the paper work there? get my ssn, bank account, health insurance...
does it all have to be in alberta?
what if i did all these in canada, can i still come back to my job in the usa? since i am not laid off? or will there be any complications at the airport and immigration....?
any input on that?
please advise...

thanks

FBI clearance and country PCCs are required but State PCCs are not. But obtaining FBI clearance now takes 2-3 months, so while waiting for this FBI clearance, most of us are applying for State PCCs (State PCCs are usually fast and sometimes takes only a week or even less). By including State PCCs in our application to Buffalo, we will probably save some time later in the process.

Hi Experts,

do I need to be in the US on an H1B at the time of issuance of the permanent resident visa?
I am thinking of starting grad school in Canada this fall. Submitted my application to CIC a week ago. If I do not get the permanent resident visa by August, will the fact that I move to Canada for school affect my CIC proceesing?

Thanks!
