Do you have a job offer in AB? Or other ties to AB?

Current location: Inlander

Alberta NOI : Jan 5 2022
AINP Application Submitted : Jan 13 2022

Nop...no ties to Alberta and no job offer. My company is reluctant to give me the job offer for this location as client is in EST timezone.

I currently work in Montreal on ICT - Lmia exempt work permit and have EE profile with 513 score based on my employer job offer for Toronto location vs Montreal location.
My profile is fairly new - created end of Nov 2021 and have over 2 years of exp in Canada with NOC 2171 and overall 12 years exp in IT . I was hoping to receive a NOI and may be they didn't target this noc in this draw or may be specific to people having job offer or other noc codes.
If my employer were to give me that letter for Alberta location it would have been easy for me to apply under accelerated tech pathway but I guess my company ain't that supportive for that location.

Oh hey, I think you may be the first to report that an info request was made for a January submission! And 56 days from submission to inquiry isn't too shabby either, maybe we will see processing times trend down again.

As for your question, it seems that often there can be five or six days between info request and the eventual issuance of the nomination; in this forum we've occasionally seen cases where it took a bit longer, like twelve days or so. Maybe check your spam folder again just to be sure the officer did not email you. Other than that, if previous timelines are any indication, I think you should be seeing progress on your application soon.

Yes you are right, ideally both of us should have got an NOI from Alberta, but I am not sure what's going on.
Well yeah... It's really upto them who they invite and have seen cases where even high score folks have not received NOI . I think they might be looking at several other factors here and the draw size is not that huge either.

They have really screwed things for CEC eligible folks for 2022 and I am looking for Alberta just for this reason to try out PNP as that would be the only way to get PR in 2022 but I am kind of losing hope , moreover Ontario doesn't consider 2171 as high demand tech skill even though it was the 2nd highest NOC with work permit approvals in 2021 in Ontario

anyone having family ties or a job offer in AB are getting top priority.

i think 2022, Canada government is focused more on TR->PR who are already in-land, I have seen a few timelines here getting NOI’s in matter of days. I am an outlander, so I am thinking of taking education route and then allow things to settle down and take a re-look in 2023
