After visa is issued

Does anyone know roughly how long afte the visa is issues does the applicant have to land in Canada?
I believe the visa used to expire about 3 months after it was issued.
Anyone with current experience?

shuster2210...my friend who just arrived from Cuba in December....she got her visa in October and said she 1 year to leave.....she got her PRE and was in Edmonton by mid-December....received her PR card in mid-February and flew back to Matanzas in April with her husband for a 2 week holiday!!!!

Awesome. I just couldn't remember how it had to be. We are in process of selling the current house and fixing up something else for his mom, but you know how things work there, could take forever to get the deeds in order!!!

Usually, it's a year from when you did/started your medical exam or your passport expiration date.

And try to buy/sell/trade property there is the worst of the worst lol
