Hello guys. I'm actually quite disappointed with this new processing times. I want to ask your opinion about a very serious thing I am considering.

I have got my csq in november 2010. I've been living in dubai since october 2010. I have applied for federal (because of some delays due to marriage) in Jan 2012 for me and my wife. At the time, I selected Damascus as my visa office because I thought Abu Dhabi visa office will take longer to process my application. after 10 days of sending my application, the damascus office was closed as you all know and my waiting journey started.

I now see that Abu Dhabi is processing visas very well and their processing time is down to 27. I didn't transfer my file for all this time because I was afraid that transferring it will take additional 6 months just to be done. But now, I am seeing that I have to transfer. Amman visa office will increase their processing times still more as mft25 said to 55 and maybe even more (there was a visa office in Colombia with a processing time of 90 months at one point of time).

My questions: 1- should I transfer my application to Abu Dhabi? I have been waiting for 27 months now without any news.
2- let's suppose that I transfer my application, will they process it after all the pending applications, or will they process it according to its date (january 2012) and hence before those who applied after january 2012 up until now. If this is true, I think once they receive my application, they will start processing it, as most applications received from January 2010 in Abu Dhabi are already processed. If I applied to Abu Dhabi in the first place, I would have got my visa for sure now.

my advise to you is to transfer your file without your eye blink . it would be better immediately not single second more. do not wait more for false mirage . Amman office in competition to break Colombia time 99 is their goal. I am trying also to get visa from Saudi Arabia to transfer my file to Abu Dhabi. all these time that they gave you are estimated max time so transfer file may need less than sex month and processing in Abu Dhabi is max 27 but it could be 12 . I know many cases in Abu Dhabi got the CSQ after me and they passed are in Montreal and Abu Dhabi office time was 39 or whatever . do not think about the detail of the process of file transfer think only that you escaped from the hell

dear all,i will not talk about colombia vo but it is just information that
colombia vo does not process any file QSW now,read this plz:
Responsible for Permanent Resident Applications from:Colombia, Ecuador, family class applications only

Note: New economic class applications are now processed by the Mexico City visa office. The visa office in Bogota will finish processing economic class applications currently underway.

regarding transfering the file,r u sure that Amman VO will accept ur request to transfer ur file to another vo when u get a valid permit residence for 1 year? coz if they accept my request to transfer my file,then i have manyyy choices:
the first i can transfer it to turkey,but its processing time is 38
the second i can travel to philippine (7 months) or to sudan ;D (12 months coz its vo is cairo and they give to syrian a permit residence for 1 year when u land at the airoport rapidly or traveling to Peru ;D (6 months),i am a single guy ,hamdelah i dont not have any problems to move to any any country, but but i want to be sure if they accept the transfering file after living one year there or not ??

dear acoustica,i think it better to write a letter and put with letter a copy of ur permit residence in ur current coutnry,and in this letter u should write ur name ,number of ur file,date birth,country,and u have to explain them why do u want to transfer ur file?it is better to send this documents by DHL ,i think that,if someone has any information about that,plz put and comment

here is the link for all information you want to transfer your file. my advise to you is do not waste more time start immediately . tarek this guide is useful for you also you can apply immediately do not wait to complete one year. do not explain to them the reason why you want to transfer your file since it is your right .

go ahead and marry I never heard about someone lost his csq because of marriage .most people do not like to do it because of file reassessment but since you passed already and you will marry an educated woman which for sure will add points to you do not worry if you wait to marry after you receive pr then it gonna take very long time . so live normally and enjoy life . inform them do not worry

this is great info for you to start immediatly

the “lock-in” date of the received file. This means that an application that is received in Paris in July 2002 and transferred to New Delhi in March 2003, would enter the New Delhi queue as of July 2002.
See also Section 5.24 Lock-in date.
There are no fees applicable to file transfer requests.
