Just a quick question for those who did re-med; did the doc give you a receipt? Apparently he didn't give any to my husband....? :/

My application is of Economic Class (Investor), but I just came here to find out how much time is it taking for PPR to come after medicals in Islamabad. My file is in being processed in London.

I (along with my dependants) did our medical exams in Oct 2012. Nothing came or happened in 2013. In March 2014, we got forms (via email) to do medical exams again. After giving that in May 2014, only I got a letter (from Health Branch in CIC Delhi) to do extra medical tests, such as ECG, within 90 days. On 24th June, 2014, I did my ECG and submitted my report to DMP in IOM Lahore. No receipts were given as an acknowledgement.

How much time are they taking for PPR after medical exams?

What a great news sister congratulations on the visa bakhair!!! I have a question, can u plz refresh me your timeline? Like i know u got a remedical right and in how long time u reply them back and how long time did it take by the doctor to send your medical to cic? Did the doctor in kabul sent it electronically ? And how much was the total expense to do the medical? Plz answer my queations im also doing my wife remed in the next few days bakhair....

My husband completed his remed may 28. it cost 329 USD. on june 8 (2 weeks later) the physician emailed him the EMEDICAL basically confirming that he sent the medical results to CIC. (look at my timeline on the side for details of my case)

I think LVO work fast then Dehli visa office, b'cuz pakistan people recieveing everyday some good news...

may be helpful for someone in sha Allah i don't know about afghan procedure is it the same two steps procedure or what? PPR and PPR-2 for afghans?????


PPR = Passport Request.
In Pakistan PPR comes in 2 steps [PPR-1 & PPR-2].
PPR-1.....London Visa office send PPR-1 through email asking for recent photos, passport copies and a form.
PPR-2.....London VO send PPR-2 through email. Original Passports should be submitted to Islamabad VO for Visa stamping.
Normally (PPR-1) takes 3-5 months after medical done & (PPR-2) 4-6 weeks.

Oh okay, thanks! That's what he told my husband too (he will e-mail him the emedical within 10 days). He took photos with him as well, but the doc snapped one on the spot via his computer.

Ugh really ??? I guess they're also doing the PPR-1 and -2 then, unless they do an interview where you HAVE to travel to India. I really hope they give us an option though, either get visa in ISL or choose to travel to ND

I honestly don't have much knowledge in the Economic Class, but according to members in the Pakistani case thread, it can take up to a month for PPR-1, where they will ask you for the photocopies of all the passports of members who will be traveling. Once they confirm your bio data between your passport and sponsorhip application, they will ask you to send your passport to Islamabad for visa stamping. IT can take another month or so for that. I would say a good guess between remed and ppr-2 is roughly 3-3.5 months or so?

No they didnt ask anything else... they just called to let me know if i was ready to travel in july since it was a short gap time thats y they called they didnt wanna waste time on sending emails... and she said ok ill let the NDVO right away that u cant travel in july and so therefore they will contact u thru email for a remed which they did right away.
