Hi everyone, here is some news from my side: I went to my MP's office and they were able to find out that Delhi finally started with my husband's background check. Does anyone have a clue how long this takes? Also, is there a possibility of an interview? Or will they do interview before even starting with the background checks?

Does anyone have a clue how long this takes? Also, is there a possibility of an interview? Or will they do interview before even starting with the background checks?

Your best bet would be to apply for GCMS notes and see what activity has taken place on your file. The only way you can tell if they want an interview is if it says anything about having doubts of a genuine relationship.
As for background check, I don't think anyone has a definitive answer for it.... :/

Great! Actually I also got a similar reply just a week before they replied to my email inquiry I had made in January lol I'm sure you will hear something in the next week or two inshAllah

Oh okay. Well usually they don't disclose that they have started the background checks in the GCMS notes for security reasons. But no one knows how they actually compile their data and how long it takes.

Speaking of which, I just received a call from my husband saying he got a call from NDVO asking where he is currently working and what position :/ he recently changed jobs and I sent in all the info in January. Not sure why they called now....I hope all goes well :'( :'( I'm guessing they're conducting his background/security clearance right now. Khudaya Khair! :'(

Well if you live in Pakistan (for more than a year) then your case is likely going to go to London not New Delhi

salaam brother no u have to translate it in English same like ur nikhakhat and tazkira all u have to do is take the police clearance to ozaraty kharaja in Kabul they ll give u a file No than u can pick it up from afghan embassy or any afghan consulate in Canada and it ll be in english just show theme the file number that they gave it to u in Kabul
