Source? I would like to see the overload.
source=CIC that is what they told me when I first called them regarding why my application was sent to NDVO..

Hi Everyone,

I just was curious what it says on CIC's website about which Offices now take care of Afghani & Pakistani residents applications now.

this is what it says now:
Applications from residents of Pakistan are being processed by the visa office in London

Applications from residents of Afghanistan are being processed by the visa office in New Delhi

Source:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/islamabad.asp

Ok great. Though i don't consider them a reliable source. But you can follow it.

Nick why are you scaring ppl off ? do you have any proof that it will take 2 to 3 years? Its gonna be the same as India, Nipal, and Buthan. CIC doesn't discriminate they will process based on the work load of that office.. The relationship of Afghanistan and India is really strong and its safer for Afghan Citizens to go to India than Pakistan and CIC is working on a poilet project on moving all Afghan cases to India.. Those cases that are getting moved from CHC IS will get special processing.. Don't be pessimistic Bro, think positive , and stop worrying too much..

peerzad I am not scaring ppl off I am just being realistic and we have to face it ! my proof is ppl r waiting since 2011 like cvimm and many other ppl in Islamabad forum my other proof is 32 months in cic website I think this is enough to proof , what is ur proof ???imaginations can't be proof At beginning I was thinking same as u but things changed I don't blame u coz ur new just wait and watch time will tell everybody say whatever they want but this is the realty believe it or not and don't worry about me I am the coolest person in this forum .

I am kind of not agree on what you are saying Nick brother. If the file is going to transfer to NDVO then it is clear that the process time based on that visa section will be followed. So, the answer for somaia is that it will take her husband around 13 months based on the recent evaluation and update about the NDVO. It is not my experience neither yours, it is the visa section's experience. No offence to anyone but let's hope for the best.

As soon as your file is transferred to NDVO then the new rule will apply to it, meaning another 13 months. I hope it shouldn't be the case for the people who already had years of wait, but it seems so because for them your case is as new as an indian applying for a visa.

Nick_Afg, was stating the obvious, and that is that there was uncertainty until recently of which way the applications will be processed. So it's rude to say that only his application will be processed in the 32 month range, Peerzad.

JAV: you are right it is based on the evaluation of the visa officers, so how can you be so sure that those who have exceeded the year mark already, will probably have to wait an additional 13. it's within the discretion of the visa officers, so they will decide whether our applications (exceeded year mark) will be given priority or not.

Inshallah hamaches bakhaire wa ba khushe mesha.

Hope_123, that was my personal assumption by saying "it seems so". Let me explain it to you in a better way. There is a chain with all its subsections connecting all the way to end. If you end up connecting some new sections to this chain then where will you connect them? In between where there is no capacity/space, In the front where it is connected to the wall or at the end where it is more logical? Again, all i am saying is "it seems so", we have brain and can work out some simple issues and logic to some extend. My file was transferred to NDVO as well from Islamabad too meaning that I am the same boat as all of you. I hope my words did neither hurt you no anyone else. We all love each other and hope for the best for all.
