Salam everyone

My husband submitted his passport on dec 22 2015 and got his visa on dec 28 2015.

Hi gulmora

i noticed you didn't submit your medical upfront with your application, did you wait until NDVO requested the medical ? is this better to do or should i submit it upfront?

That's great news Gulmora! I authorized a relative to submit my wife's passport. They accepted it as of yesterday. But for some reason they stated unless it's the husband or wife or someone closer they wouldn't be able to pick the passport but I'm most likely sure as long as I authorize them there should no problem. I hope they finish it stamp by next week and have it back in my wife's hand.

It's better to do the upfront but wait about 4-5 months after application received before doing the medical. This will definity save you time and speed up the processing.

Wait for NDVO to send you request, then take the letter and do your meds

What I did was I waited till sponsorship approval from Mississauga. Then asked my wife to do her medical. It's better to wait till later because there's a possibility that your medical might get expired thus causing you time and energy. Also another heads up is once you received sponsorship approval, ask the applicant to apply for police certification(s) for any countries that the applicant has stayed more then 6 months.

Sponsorship took about 9.5/17 months from AOR2 date.

Best of luck!

Visa of All Afghan citizen will be issued in Pakistan, CIC never answer why it is issued there this is their internal process that they do not share with their clients. In addition, how long it takes to issue the visa is also depend on the immigration officer. I saw in the forum that some forum members visa has been issued in a couple of months while some Forum member have got their visa in two months. It is hard to tell the exact time. However, the clever way to submit your passport is in person and you should have a contact address and phone number in Pakistan. When they issue the visa, they will contact you to obtain your passport. For more or detailed in formation you can go to the CIC website it will give you a clear view of everything.
:P :P :P :P :P :P

not really, if you put Indian address in your application in that case they will ask you to submit it in New Dehli - if you put Afghanistan add they will ask you to submit it to islamabad

Actually there was a 2 week delay before we submitted the passport. As of Monday we officially sent the papers to the visa office.

does anyone know if police clearance has an expiry?
