Hi Everyone
I have a quick question as i am bit worried about sponsoring my spouse. I got DUI(I AM THE SPONSOR) in 2015 and its summary conviction. I recently got married and will start the process of sponsoring real soon
Just wondering if DUI will be an issue in the process??
And one more question currently i am not employed.
Is it better off to apply with a job or i can apply without having one.
Any Advice will be helpfull
Thanks

DUI is not an issue since you are the sponsor.

There is no minimum income requirements to sponsor a spouse - however you cannot be on social assistance. IRCC will want to understand how you are going to financially support your spouse, so you will want to address that in your application or provide proof your spouse is currently employed to demonstrate they have plans to work once in Canada.
