Hi Friends,

I am filling up address history in my ITA forms. I moved to 8 different cities in the last 10 years and when I moved to a new place, I stayed in a hotel for the first few weeks and in some places upto a month before I found an accommodation. Do I need to mention the addresses of the hotels as well in the address history?

Also , How accurate does this have to be? Is it ok if the dates are off here and there by a couple of days??

Also , does CIC at any point ask for the address proofs of all the addresses in the history?

1. Yes. You need to mention.
2. Maybe the exact date does not matter but I highly suggest you to find out the precise date to avoid any excuse that the CIC may have to be against you.
3. I have never heard them asking the proof of historical address.

Thanks for your response. Do you mean if I have stayed in a hotel for even for a day I need to mention that address?

Would that not delay the background check?
