I am sponsoring my mom. My mom is the principal applicant. She's been separated since 2007 and I did not include her ex-husband to the application as dependant. My question is, does she still need to write the "Spouse" information in Section A given the situation?

Separated does not mean divorced. On top of that if you see from DROP down window there is an option "LEGALLY SEPARATED" SO I think you should write all info not hide anything here. Also explain on a separate sheet that she is separated NOT legally.

Follow up question: IMM 0008 - She doesn't have to add him as dependant in this form right? Even if I provide his information in IMM 5406, correct? They are legally separated.
Also, in IMM 0008 family member included in the application should only be 1 (my mom), is that correct?
He does not need to be included as a dependent. She needs to include a letter of explanation and proof of the separation.

Correct but also should include name in the form as well, under "legally separated" ? Am I right?
