I write this to inform you of the recent update for the AUH office.
I received my OPR this morning.
Here are the details you would want to know:
Program: MA PACS from University of Manitoba
Application Type: SDS for Fall 2020
Applied: October 9, 2020
Country: Pakistan
There was no update on my application till January 2021.
First Ghost Update: January 9, 2021, and Review of Eligibility Started
Second Ghost Update: January 13, 2021 (No Change)
Third Ghost Update: January 21, 2021 (Profile was updated but the status remained the same)
Fourth Ghost Update: February 19, 2021 (Medical Passed)
There was no movement after the aforementioned update till April 8, 2021.
BVL: April 8, 2021
OPR: April 14, 2021 (9:42 am PKST)

I know how stressful it can be to wait and have those sleepless nights. I began studying online. I knew the risk involved in case a refusal followed. However, patience, my friends, bears fruit. I have found immense support from the threads here. This can be a tough journey, but hang in there and you will soon receive the good news.

Wow, painfully long. I dont know what process they follow for providing SP. One thing I know is if it takes them this long in this age of technology, they are doing something terribly wrong.

Wow big congrats to you. How did you package your application to overcome the common reason for rejection for temporary resident applicants in Middle East. Do you mind sharing how you established tie to home country? Temporary resident status and tie to home country seems to be a common rejection pattern.

Indian Citizen/UAE Resident and applied from UAE
1st application got rejected for Jan 2021 intake
1st Application date - 4th Nov 2020
1st Refusal date - 16th Dec 2020

Applied 2nd time for May 2021 intake
Application date - 22 Feb 2021
Medical passed date- 11 March 2021
Review of eligibility - We are reviewing.....
Background Check - We are processing your background check....
Final Decision - Your application is in progress.....

No update since then. I am worried as my classes will commence from 17 May 2021 and still there is no update about visa application. Can anyone suggest with their experience about what can be the probability of getting Visa before May 2021.
