Hii Bryanna, My mom got trv but don't know what is the validity, we r going to send pp for stamping on Monday. But my question is that I ask visa for 3 weeks n I want my mom to stay 3 months..can she stay for 3 months n if yes should I book return ticket for her or only one way.. if she book 3 months return ticket do shehave to answer at immigration for 3 monthsstay??..Please reply Bryanna asap thank you

Don't worry u can stay canada maximum 6 months.

Visa validity is not the same as how long she is allowed to stay in Canada. That will be determined when she is interviewed by an officer at the airport.

Anyway, it is a bad idea to book a one-way ticket if she is on an ordinary TRV. The airline might not even allow her to board if she does not have a return ticket.

Maybe, maybe not, only because three months is a long time. Although they may be more lenient for parents staying that long. The fact you mentioned a 3 week stay in your application will not be an issue

Do book refundable tickets/tickets that allow for the return flight dates to be changed

Note that how long your mother is allowed into Canad is always up to the CBSA officer she encounters at the border.

What if CBSA officer at airport ask my mom for stay duration, can my mom say that she is going to stay for three months??... And if 3 months is the not right answer what should she can say?

If her return ticket is for three months then she should say she is staying for three months.

In all probability, she won't be asked to show her return tickets. And, most likely she will be allowed to stay for 6 months without too many questions.

Travel plans do change and she can mention this if she is asked at the POE
