I got 515 points in the system, waiting for the 9th draw too. It was supposed to happen at 5pm in Vancouver time today.

there is no draw this week because the ITA offers did not reach 800 at 453. i think they are really maintaining the 453 CRS level. so another more week, probably more that 800 ITA will be reached with 453 CRS score.

I don't want to be a conspirator, but I also think they are artificially tuning the ITA numbers low to keep cutoff high. It seems like there is a "glass floor" of points where CIC don't want people below it get into Canada. And because there are no rules or transparency on how often and how large a draw is, they can do it as they want.

I have a score of 441.
I am wishing and praying for it to come down by at least 31 points.
But what I do not understand is, why is CIC taking so long for the 9th draw.

i think there are lot of guys with more than 450 now in the pool. why are they delaying the draw still? Can the draw can happen only on weekends?

What I Observed is that all the draws are on a Friday except the first Two. And mostly on the last 2 Fridays except april which was 2nd and 3 rd friday. So if that pattern continues next draw will be either on 15th and 22nd of May or 22nd and 29th of May.

Finger crossed My score is 400!! Hope to get an ITA in this draw.

I think CIC will start considering NOC codes sooner or later because they may not want to have too many immigrants with same sets of skills...logic..right? ;D

I agree with you.. there might be hidden rules not exposed to immigrants..but not sure they will publish this..

How can you say that CIC is getting immigrants with same sets of skills.

Secondly, CIC is bothered about taking quality immigrants irrespective of their NOC, someone whose well qualified and good in English. Capable enough to get a job in Canada even if in a different NOC.

Because there is no obligation that you land and work in same NOC in canada.

Usually everyone have to study for at least 2 years before they can get a decent job in their profession. Or else they have to rely on odd jobs to spend their life. Is that true? Please advise.

Depends on your profession. In many trades, it's very normal to have foreigners around. In other white collar workplaces, many HR people and managers would consider local or Canadian experiences superior to foreign experiences, plus a large supply of workforce from school every year, the result is those hired are either locals or have local education or work experiences.
In large corporations, some might notice glass ceiling for minority ethnic groups and speaks English in a foreign accent too.
