haha, that's the story pretty much..

Just got the invite. Yay!

Congrats to everyone else who's been that lucky!

I wonder what the fuss about helping int'l students was all about! The new draw doesn't seem to make any difference. Last CRS before the "changes" was 472, int'l students get btw 15-30 extra. latest CRS 497! How did that really "help"?

Student with high score will be cleared in 3-4 of draw hopefully. I'll say by March we should start see the score going down.

We had a lot of nomination this past week. Plus some int. student have more than one year of work so they are in the 490-500 range with the new score. The pool need to be cleared before we sees any impact.

At least I feel closer to the cutoff now...

Anyone here is an international student with work experience as a research assistant while he is a full time student? And did he count his work years while he is a student as a canadian work experience?

But it doesn't make sense for CIC to increase the CRS right after claiming to "help" int'l students.

and here i am sitting at 496

Undergrad student with almost full english (missed 1 pt) and 2 years work right?

I don't think students made much difference in this draw because most students are still under the cutoff

Congratulations guys who made it to the much awaited list!
Merry xmas! CIC's gift ;D

Work experience while being a full time student doesn't count. Maybe if it is outside Canada, that may be different
