Yes we both have the same years of experience but I am not a nurse. But I have read my wife's actual nursing practice that she wrote in her Manitoba registration application. They are her duties per hospital and per area of assignment that she did in the past and current job. Something like:char_bonel said:hi aspire,
ur a nurse too?does ur wife works there too as a nurse and is having same lenght of experience?i only done bedside nursing for a year back in 2004, worked as clinical instructor for a year also and im currently working as nurse instructor/lecturer for NCLEX and CGFNS. d kaya manitoba and all other territories grant eligibility to take licensure based on actual bedside care?im kind of worried and also not very sure with what to write in the form that asks us to document our actual nursing practice for the past 5 years.do they mean actual bedside nursing? or do i include my teaching nursing subjects as well?
anyone may also comment...
Following doctors order
Administer medicines to patients
patient care
IV insertion
Give contrast
post mortem care
Scrub and circulating nursing
charting
reporting to doctors regarding patient's condition
assisting to OR doctors
assisting to radiologists
provide CPR
... and many others that she did in her experiences in ER, OR, Radiology nursing, Angiography nurse, ortho ward.
...In my opinion your being a clinical istructor and NCLEX lecturer are as well related to job description of a nurse..so I suggest to write them all in your Manitoba eligibility application.
...but your present challenge now char is to convince the IO that you have the job desciptions that matches to that of a Registered Nurse NOC if you indeed applied under this NOC. I suggest you visit CIC website and check the NOC JD of an RN. One senior in the other forum who was a previous IO, said that the duty listed no. 1 in the list is the most important duty that a RN applicant should have in order to qualify.
