Thanks for your reply Rogue. Where do you think should I register. I'm choosing between Albarta and Manitoba. I will land first kc sa Alberta. San ba mas madali magparegister? Nabasa ko kc sa Alberta May SEC interview pa and exam. What do you think san ba dapat ako magparegister? I have 2 years experience as a Nurse. Thank you ng marami sa reply mo.
Hi there, In my humble opinion try mo sa Manitoba. Kasi mas madali ata sila mag bigay ng eligibility. However medyo matagal lng ng konti yung kanila parang transcript assessment , International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Since my nsg experience ka nman its worth a try at the very least. Sa CARNA kasi most often SEC ang assessment sa IEN.

I myself got the eligibility from CRNM. My PR is under process. Waiting for medicals. I dont have any visa nor visited Canada ever since. I am now scheduled to take the exam on October 6. I applied for visit visa 15 days ago, and just a while ago ARAMEX(courier company) called me to pick up my passport. I am nervous, to see if I got the visit visa or not. Few hours from now I will give you an update of wether or not I got the visa. Please guys pray for me. I gave them my mailing address in Canada cared of to my friend who is in Manitoba, and told them that I do not have residency status in Canada be it temporary or permanent. They approved it, they gave me the eligibility and approved me to take the CRNE. CRNM even gave me a referral letter addressed to the visa officer so I can be helped with my visit visa application. Yes, in Manitoba you can apply for registration even before landing Canada.
Hi aspire, nakaka kaba nga yan... God speed. All the best :)

[size=10pt]Hi All,
Greetings,
I have couple of doubts I believe someone in this forum can clear it..
I have applied for PR in Canada under the 3152 Registered Nurse category I have submitted all the documents with my visa application as told in IMM 5612 checklist which was received by the CIC , Canada office on Aug 5th 2010.
I'm currently having only 2 years and 11 months bedside experience as a Registered Nurse, I have also got 6 + years of experience as a Nursing Clinical Instructor which I was told falls under 4131 – College and vocational instructor category .
since under new rules post June 26 2010 , 4131 – College and vocational instructor category no longer falls under SOL , I'm now afraid that the CIC might reject my Visa application as Iam not having 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse which will reduce my SOL qualification points from the current 69 to less than 60. I had check this with my agency and they replied as below.
"Prior to June 26, 2010, the category “ 4131 – College and vocational instructor” was there in the Shortage of occupation list (SOL), But post June 26, 2010 the category was removed from the SOL list and transferred to the AOB list.
So we can still claim 21 points for your work experience and there is no reason to worry "
Can someone kindly confirm to me whether I can claim 21 points in my PR visa application with my total work experience .

Regards
Bindu Jacob

Hello Bindu Jacob,

They will give points to your working experiences that fall on NOC skills type A and B. NOC 4131 is type B, so cheer up, they will give you the maximum points for work experience, even if some of your work experiences are not in line with NOC 3152. Yes you have 21 points on your work experience.

Hi you said we can apply anytime so what am I going to present to the #5 requirement below?

Proof of Immigration Status:
You must provide a copy of current Canadian immigration documents (e.g., Canadian Citizenship, permanent residency documents, temporary resident visa, student visa or authorization under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada). For information regarding immigration, visas or working and studying in Manitoba, please contact the Canadian Consulate in your country or Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The College does not provide information or assistance with immigration matters.
Rene, I reviewed my printed copy of the requirements of CRNM, Proof of residency in Canada is not part of the requirement, As far as I can remember, it was CNO who is requring such. However, I am not updated if recently, CRNM made some changes with their requirement. CRNM and CNO have different requirements, so as with the other provinces.

My IQAS assessment took 45 days. I was not asked for any bridging programs. They found it to be equivalent to the BSN degree in Manitoba.

Fellow Nurses,

Go for Manitoba accreditation. Take the license. After working for 2 years in Manitoba, transfer to any province that you realy liked to stay. Though license in Manitoba is not automatically recognized in Ontario, BC or any provinces, but 99% approval is at stake if you request for transfer. This is an easir route than to work as LPN in Ontario, while undergoing some bridging programs before you can take the exam. I doubt if one has enough time to study for CRNE once you are already employed as a practical nurse in Canada.

ah ok cge gud luck .. you have 1 month to prepare. galingan mo. I read on other forum na medyo daunting ang CRNE since they've change the format last june 2010. Ang haba ng mga questions on a short time.. so practice practice ka tlga. While other questions are NCLEX style...good luck ulit.. Tell me I was the exam ha after Oct 6? hahaha.. :)

Thanks for the wishes..and please help me pray so i can pass the exam. Been preparing for quite some time na Rogue. I even reviewed at Careerworx (the only CRNE review center in the Philippines) during my vacation last summer in the Philippines. I also purchased some books on line from Canada and had it delivered here in Riyadh. Quite costly due to the courier fee. And few days from now, I am expecting for another set of reviewer authored by the CNA from which Igot almost CAD$200 discount because of my being in the list as Graduate Nurse in Canada.

hi aspire,

when did you start applying for your manitoba registration? coz starting june 7, 2010.. they require proof of immigration status already kaya my application is pending til i received my visa...i want manitoba also because they offer lots of opportunities, and they refund expenses up to 7,000 canadian dollars plus some of the hospitals there will give furnish house for 3 months for free and refund airfare and lots more...

by the way, am glad that you were able to qualify and take CRNE immediately with put having to undergo bridging, can i ask how many years of experience you have right now? and from school you graduate?

thanks
