Hi,
Please scan from page 1 of this thread. There are people who applied for CNO registration. If I remembered it right, it was char_bonnel who was at first asked by CNO to undergo bridging program but was later waived after her appeal. You will get lot of infos regarding CNO registration from their old post. You may send as well private message to her and ask her queations regarding CNO registration.

Sorry, it was CarribRN actually and not char_bonnel who I was referring to.

Hello Colleagues,

I know each of us have our own preferences/choices to which province/territory we want to be registered.
I just want to share with you that I filed my application to CRN of Manitoba. After 3 months of waiting, they granted me an eligibility to take CRNE and can register as Graduate Nurse without attending bridging program or any additional assessment. Each Provinces have their own way of processing their application but their requirements are almost identical (school credentials, employmeny history, ielts etc.). Since I am still out of Canada and for medical exam this week, I am planning to take the exam on Feb 2010 or June 2010 once the much awaited visa is issued.
Try to visit their website. www.crnm.mb.ca
Hope this helps.

Hi Power,
Do you have any update? Did you take the CRNE. BAlitaan mo naman kami. I am scheduled to sit for CRNE this coming october 6, 2010. I will be taking my exam in Winnipeg. Thanks.

Valid pa ba ang IELTS ko which is 10months old na (taken Novemebr 28, 2009). Gagamitin ko sana for my CRNE Registration for Alberta? Ok lang ba yun? At pwede ko bang i-claim na ang 1st language natin is English since yan naman ginagamit as medium of instruction sa Pinas? Pls. reply. thanks.

Just an update especially to those who applied for assessment in CRNBC. My credit card was charged already sometime last week. They received my application August 9,2010.

Yep valid pa ang IELTS mo , 2 years ang validity nya in terms of CRNE eligibility application. And your first language is not english by the way. Mga english speaking country lng ang pwedeng mag claim non, my listahan ang CARNA if you come from any of list of countries. However you are right about the medium of instruction , is English since upon submission of your school credentials its indicated there and it doesn't need translation.

Hi you said we can apply anytime so what am I going to present to the #5 requirement below?

Proof of Immigration Status:
You must provide a copy of current Canadian immigration documents (e.g., Canadian Citizenship, permanent residency documents, temporary resident visa, student visa or authorization under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada). For information regarding immigration, visas or working and studying in Manitoba, please contact the Canadian Consulate in your country or Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The College does not provide information or assistance with immigration matters.

Yes Rene, thats is also the point of my agent...They advised me to start my CNO processing when i get at least the second AOR or the med/landing fee request.

Which is fine with me ;D .

Thanks for your reply Rogue. Where do you think should I register. I'm choosing between Albarta and Manitoba. I will land first kc sa Alberta. San ba mas madali magparegister? Nabasa ko kc sa Alberta May SEC interview pa and exam. What do you think san ba dapat ako magparegister? I have 2 years experience as a Nurse. Thank you ng marami sa reply mo.

Chris,
Kung hindi ako nagkakamali 2 years ang validity ng IELTS. Others please confirm. They do require IELTS still for us whose mother tongue is not English even if English was used as the medium of instructions all throughout our school years.

I myself got the eligibility from CRNM. My PR is under process. Waiting for medicals. I dont have any visa nor visited Canada ever since. I am now scheduled to take the exam on October 6. I applied for visit visa 15 days ago, and just a while ago ARAMEX(courier company) called me to pick up my passport. I am nervous, to see if I got the visit visa or not. Few hours from now I will give you an update of wether or not I got the visa. Please guys pray for me. I gave them my mailing address in Canada cared of to my friend who is in Manitoba, and told them that I do not have residency status in Canada be it temporary or permanent. They approved it, they gave me the eligibility and approved me to take the CRNE. CRNM even gave me a referral letter addressed to the visa officer so I can be helped with my visit visa application. Yes, in Manitoba you can apply for registration even before landing Canada.
