Thanks for sharing. I was wondering why security has not started yet ? Is it usually same like others who applied from Quebec?
Honestly, I don’t know why. According to the GCMS notes, it should have been finished by late 2024, but it is still pending even now. For me, living in Quebec, it will still take about 18 more months, but for someone living in Ontario, it would already be done.
I understand. I ordered GCMS 5 times the last one was recently. They did not update it since September 2024 (it was eligibility letter). On GCMS notes last updated September 2024.
I know it takes longer in Quebec. But I was thinking everything is like other provinces but they are waiting for the quota.
For outside of Quebec it was 31 and now 28. Let’s see. We will see from others if they receive something. For my case it’s just more than 25 months.

I hope 28 months is real. So you should hear something nowadays.
I think the 28-month estimate is not your actual waiting time—it's just the average over the past six months. You could end up waiting longer or shorter than that. For example, if the wait time was 33 months during the first three months and 27 months during the last three months, the average would be 30 months. So it really depends on how many people are ahead of you in the queue
