March 2022, and still waiting a final decision, residing in Quebec.

I have sued them with Mandamus and nothing happened, despite that they didn't provide any arguments against it. In my Mandamus process, the next step for me is to wait 4-5 months and possibly even more for a judge to see my case, and then a court date will be set 12 months after her/she see it if my application isn't finalized yet.

The IRCC knows that the federal court is overwhelmed with immigration cases, and this long time for a court date to be set. Thus, they are choosing not to respond and just take as much time as possible before the court date.

In summary, Mandamus is useless as they are still able to take additional almost 2 years to process the case (from the date I contacted the lawyer). I paid close to 6k for nothing.
Today i have passed the estimated processing time of 28 months. When i called the IRCC, they told me to continue waiting and no timeline was given. They have been feeding me lies for more than a year.

I completely understand your frustration. It's disheartening when you're still within the processing time and attempt to address the numerous red flags in your unusually delayed PR application, as highlighted by the GCMS Notes you requested in advance, only to be met with dismissive responses like 'it's still within the estimated processing time' from IRCC agents and your MP. Once you exceed that estimated processing time, the same individuals offer no explanation or justification and simply tell you to keep waiting.

I am also at 38 months already and still waiting, unfortunately because quebec applicants are less important.

Has anyone in Quebec sued them for damages with a civil lawyer? I want to sue them for the none-ending lies, that has been put my life on pause ever since I applied.

Personally, I am trying to move away to another province. This will take time, money and effort and cause many headaches but I feel this will be the best option in the long term.
