Hello TR to PR community,
I’m not a person of many words, but I’ve been watching and reading in the shadows for sometime now, so I feel obligated to share whatever info I can. For those who want to see my timeline, it’s located in my signature. The wait has been the longest and most painful one I have ever endured and all I can say is don’t lose hope, your day will come soon by the grace of god.
For anyone who made a mistake on your application (forgetting to mention a past refusal for another country) don’t panic or start worry. I was in a similar situation, fortunately for me I have a MP Office that actually care for its constituents and really work. I found the mistake and decided to be proactive and reached out to my MP office who contacted the Immigration Minister/Ministry who gave guidance. If you have not received a Procedural fairness letter, get ahead of the ball and prepare a LOE as best as you possibly can explaining your reason for the mistake and submit asap. If you received a PFL, then you may need to get a Lawyer/consultant (preferably one who has experience & prior success in that area) to address the issue. Thankfully in my case it seemed to be a non starter, as it never came up nor was I asked to redo any forms.
To be honest, I sometimes felt irritated (not depressed ) when I look and see how highly qualified I am to the point multiple companies compete to pay top dollar for my skills and expertise, yet the country prioritize refugees (disclaimer: I have nothing against refugees) ahead of myself and my fellow highly qualified applicants in this forum.
But hold your head up, no matter how you feeling and just know it’s darkest just before dawn.
Cheers folks as I return to the shadows, will answer any question once I’m available
