I applied online early Sep 2021, my wife applied in paper late Jan 2022. We've got invitations for test at about the same time in late April.
While she's just taken her oath this week, my online application is still stuck at BGC and Test completed, everything else is in progress.

Man, I don't know if my family should cry or celebrate the fact that IRCC prioritizes paper over online applications.

To be honest, I'm just trying to ignore this whole thing, IRCC never was and will probably never be logical in how they approach things, there are also a lot of factors that are beyond our vision and are dealt with behind the curtains, I know that nothing I can do will speed up the process, so better save my sanity and live my regular life.

Does anyone with online application got any updates?

I'm seriously considering withdrawing e-application and submit a paper one

There is some activity on online applications in Jan-Jun 2022 threads. check those, stay positive hopefully it goes fast for you. The decision is yours of course but there is progress around.

Hello, I submitted online (single applicant) and already got my certificate of citizenship. I am posting on behalf of my friends (2 families with kids). They submitted mail, everything is completed. However, until now their Ceremony is still not started -- last update was August 10 or 11. Does anyone here knows families that are experiencing the same? Thank you so much and have a great day!

I applied on January 13 2022, and received AOR on March 3rd. I checked the status online and today it says "Las updated: September 7th, 2022" (today), but everything is still showing "In progress", so there's no update. I checked my email already and nothing

Hi All,

I am applying for the citizenship application online, I have a couple doubts in the filling up the application form.

1. Do I need to add flag polling as the absence from Canada. [ not that it makes any difference in the day count but still what's the consensus on the same?]

2. Last year I went to India to see my family and was stuck there due to covid 19 flight ban, so I have stayed there from February to October, almost 9 months. do I need to declare my Indian address in the residence history? Mind that I was already paying my rent for Canadian accommodation while I was away in India. I have declared the Canada address as my residence but on top should I add Indian House address as well?

Thanks, for any replys!

I would have added both, you maybe also need to provide police certificate for your days in India as you stayed there for over 6 month (183days) in a row during your past 4 years, double check on police certificates requirements.

DONT APPLY ONLINE

Your message should be pinned at the top of this topic to prevent people from making the same "mistake" we made.
Don't apply online. The online system is a scam. Seems pretty easy but man don't be fooled by IRCC.
Take all the time it may require you to apply in papper

You are a fool if you apply online. Just like many of us here who have been fooled by IRCC. Don't make the same mistakes we did.
