If you applied student permit or work permit before, you will have UCI, this number won't change.

Have you tried linking your app online even without the AOR? You would simply not choose the option that asks for application number or UCI. Instead use last name and passport number or any of the other combinations (I don't remember them off the top of my head.) But you should be able to link without an AOR, using the info that you do have. There was a user a page or two back saying they did that and asking if anyone else had to link theirs without receiving the AOR.

If you're able to link it, at least you'll know the app is being processed and they just didn't send you the AOR for whatever reason.

How long have you been waiting to get work permit?

My file was received on feb 6th
I got AoR on 6th March
Got pcc and ScD A form request on 7th march
My work permit app on the main page of the account shows date submitted for work permit app as 8th of March.
My status expired on 31st of March and i got OWP approved today ...

Yeah, that's my issue right now. I haven't gotten the 1st AOR even though my application was delivered on March 13; and therefore I want to call CIC to ask about it. Do you have any suggestion for my case? - Thank you!

I have submitted my paper application on 19th of May. Through Canada post tracking, I understood that they received the documents.

Any idea what happens next? When will I get AoR? And how can I link it to online CIC account.

Yes, I'd definitely call and inquire about my case if I were you. You're nearing the 3 month mark without AOR or the app being returned. Call them, for sure.

Hi, I was in a similar situation to you. March 26th application marked as received but come May 30th I still had no AOR. Checked all the emails, spam etc. and tried to call but no luck getting through. Eventually I tried to link the application with my existing UCI number from a previous application and was able to link both the PR and OWP and they appear to be being processed as normal. Just never received the AOR. I have spoke to several other people from March in a similar situation with no AOR and no application returned. I’m wondering if there was some kind of glitch. Also wondering if I didn’t receive AOR because I sent all my documents/schedule a and police check up front, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Though I am not at all sure about that. I think calling them is the best option since you’re unable to link. Wishing you good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Hello everyone!
I just recently joined the forum.

My husband(sponsor) and I applied for inland application spousal sponsorship.

We sent the application in Mississauga last May and was received on 25th.

We also have included my application for owp.
And prior to the application i already received my uci and i cant seem to link my application to my account. We haven't received the AOR yet so im thinking they might not havent processed my application yet.

When do you think i'll be receiving the aor and how long is the wait for the owp?

I talked to this lady while i was printing some photos and she shared that within 6-8weeks some people get their owp.

I have no any idea about it but if its true then that will be great.

Any inputs will be much appreciated and ill also share my experience through this journey. Its kinda stressful and lots of patience is needed but i hope everything will be okay.

Hi Japonesa!

It usually takes 4-6 weeks for AOR (so you should be receiving yours by the end of the month) and 3-4 months for the OWP. It's very rare (although not impossible) for people to get their OWP in 6-8 weeks unfortunately.

Then give the CIC a call today.

And I just saw another post (April-inland one), two person said they saw their info online already without email.
