I know, you're right it is case by case, but most people in our Whatsapp group within the first weeks of Feb have not received it. I'm not just talking about my own individual case, but of many others as well.
You are right. Im still waiting too. 4 month mark will be up in 2 days. Then we can send case specific inquiry..

That's the same as my husband! Hopefully he hears something too. We have a rep so we can't check.

No I haven’t. We are expecting it to be at least another month. For most it has been taking 3.5 months before hearing about the work permit so hopefully first week of July
My visitor status will be expire in mid july will that be a problem if by that time I still don’t get my work permit

You can apply for extension of your visitor stay, file it paper file just 3-4 days before your status expires just in time so that it reaches cic before your stauts expire. Paper application usually takes 2-3 months to have a decision made for extension, in the mean time your WP might come or even if not you most likely will get extension.

If you have already submitted your application for OWP along with PR, and have not had it returned (in other words, have received AOR) then you are on implied status and will be fine until you get your work permit. No need to extend.

But if the OPW got rejected, he will be out of status.

OWP usually only gets rejected if the payment is wrong or they missed a signature/application form. Which is why I asked if they have received AOR.

Hi everyone, I got married to Canadian husband on November 2017. And we both have sent package application sponsorship inside Canada, PR card and open work permit by mail, the beginning may this year. My question is, how long would it take to get response? Thank you. I am looking forward to read messages here from you all. Have a nice day.
