Since you have your UCI#, yes.
But it can take a few days to be registered in the system.

There was no UCI# given, just an application #

usually ECAS is not available until AFTER SA. some people are able to log in earlier because they have had a previous application with CIC (ie: visitor, work, study visa, etc). A majority of people have to wait. ECAS really isn't an indication of anything. Generally people know what's happening to their application before anything is changed in ECAS.

RYIT - Thanks for a quick response. I am literally freaking out here... I truly appreciate your optimism and certainly hope that our SA application was indeed approved. My concern is that there is a 50% chance it could be a denial, though I cannot image in a million years how that could be the case. It seems asinine to me that the CIC employee would choose to send a confirmation of approval to Mexico via regular mail if they knew even a little about how poor the mail system is here, especially when it is clearly documented in our application that we requested communication via email (which is confirmed by CIC in the very applications that we completed). Have they no empathy for the people they serve in this country??? (Don't answer that, I already know the answer!)

We will probably NEVER receive that letter!! That is downright cruel!

Can I assume that we will receive an EMAIL confirmation of file transfer to the Mexico VO assuming I was approved?? Can I call to confirm SA??

Tx rhCohen for your response. took me 4 tries to get through on the phone, plus a 16 minute wait on hold, hoping my Mexico carrier wouldn't drop the call, only to be told that I MET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP AND WAS APPROVED!!!!!!!! WOOOOOHHOOOOOOO! OMG What a relief! I was sweating bullets. I explained that the mail system here in Mexico is not trust worthy and we would likely not receive the letter and that we would appreciate very much if she could tell me what the result was.

I kindly asked if the file had been transferred already and she said it was too early to tell but that the transfer would occur within the next month (I think probably very soon)!

Hi Jennjj, there is no color update needed.. next color update is for in process or PPR..
Because not everyone receives AOR2.. Based the Color coding reference on the first row.. not the 2nd row.

Hi Bubbles87! Update done.. but in the future you can edit the fields and color status on the spreadsheet on your own there is only 4 columns that you guys can't edit.. just to protect and preserve your space. Just don't worry about the shade of the first 4 columns.. once I've seen that it's different from the other side.. i'll be the one to update it.. besides i always visit the sheet everyday Congrats on your SA, now relax and worry less!

Congrats! I can't think of a case when people had been denied for sponsoring, or I haven't read about it yet, cause there have been people unemployed, without a decent place of residence, even on welfare and they got their SA so I think it's pretty hard not to get one lol
The only thing that rather annoys me is this whole email crap, like how incompetent you have to be to send it via mail when the applications states clearly that if you indicate your email it will be prioritized form of communication and correspondence. So what the hell. Other then that, I guess the actual transfer might take up to a week or two, so just chill out and enjoy hot Mexican sun with an ice cold corona in your hand! haha

Thanks sheepdog. Paranoia sets in sometimes when things don't go the way you expect them to... and I agree 100% about the correspondence issue. It's really unacceptable that they do that!

I asked about the transfer and she said it was too early to tell if it had been transferred but that it should happen within the next month ... hopefully sooner.

I going home right now to enjoy that sun and Corona (Modelo actually, much better IMHO lol!)
