so I submitted my app, Jan 28 2015 and according to Post Canada they received it on the 29th,

I got an EMAIL today Feb 5 2015 From CIC with my UCI and File number,

7 Days after i Sent it


1) is this an AOR?
2) did anyone else get this email already?

Wow! You are so lucky. I think that is AOR. I applied in dec 2014 and still has nothing.

congrats...on your aor....Im a january 7 applicant still haven't received any AOR. Today I checked the CIC site and it stated there that they are still working on NOV. 6 applicants. They are being inconsistend with their updates. It is just unfair for us all who have sent our applications beforehand.

well the thing is,,,how come they have sent you an email already with your file number and uci file?. that just means that you have already been approved for SA. What i don't understand is how come in CIC website they are still working on Nov. 6 applicants? I just find that so inconsistent.

I was wondering before also what the difference in receiving through courier and regular mail would be? Cause they have different addresses, i wonder if it's all put in the same pile or what...

Anyway! Good news for us i guess, that means they are working, maybe someone else will be lucky enough to get an email from CIC before the time stated....

I sent it through reg mail. it was highly organized and labeled. cover letter and everything.
I don't know how to log in and check the status but ill figure it out

Which address did you use to mail it to CIC? the P.O Box?

Has anybody tried calling and asking the procedure and processing times? I guess they just have a pile of applications and get to yours when they can. It seems like the processing time is going to go up each week however that some people get it faster so perhaps it is not an organised system and a bit of pot luck.

Hi, I just called this number just now..18882422100 and asked about the processing of sponsorship approval. I asked her if the processing time is still consistent with what date they have put in the cic website. She said that they are still working on applications received on Nov. 6 2014 and that it is somehow impossible for january 2015 applicants to be receiving their AOR's yet as it is too very early. She said that if you have given them your email address or mailing address they will send it to either one.

So maybe one of you guys can try calling this number and ask again the verifications of the processing of sponsorship approvals?
