It took exactly 6 months!(From the day application filed to receiving my passport). What is your timeline your visa got processed and mine has not and I'm 3 days ahead of you I wanna cry

My VO is manila.looks like its taking forever.
But still holding into it.

Does anyone have any ideas how long it can take for an application to go from "in Process" to decision made in the Ottawa office?

I'd love to know this too! My husband's part of the application went in progress the the middle of August. I feel like we should be seeing decision made any day now but maybe I am terribly wrong and have my hopes totally up. We were hoping he would be here for Christmas. He cannot take any decent job because they all require contracts in the US and he could leave at any moment and it's really hard to survive on part time min wage. We cannot afford Christmas gifts. My husband skips eating. It's a pretty crappy quality of life for him. At least I have my disability pay but that isn't very much either. Somehow the US is so bad that it lets its citizens starve. Crazy right? So obviously we are very anxious! So if anyone could chime in how long from in progress to accepted via Ottawa office it would really alleviate some anxiety for several of us.

Just saw last Tuesday that I'm "In Process" but with a start date of June 26 (the day after my sponsor was approved), I guess it takes a while to update the status online.....

Hey guys,


I am starting to get rlly frustrated with this process. We are currently processed in Romania, where I submitted the CSQ they asked for about 5 weeks ago and we have not received any update. I am 6 months pregnant and most probably I will have to be alone at birth. How long after they receive the CSQ do they ask for the next step? I don't find it normal that they keep people apart, they didn't even approve of a visit visa for my husband, the process itself is just way to long. :'( :'( :'(
