No problem!Here is my timeline...

Sponsorship:

We received your application to sponsor _________ on April 7, 2015.
We started processing your application on May 4, 2015.
We sent you correspondence on May 12, 2015 about the decision on your application.

Permanent Residence
We received __________ application for permanent residence on April 7, 2015
Change of status from Application received to In process August 12,2015

To be honest, I got my SA approved in a week after I received my AOR 1. The only reason it got delayed is because my husband needed additional medical exam. Such a bummer, but we are both hoping this is a good sign ‘cause their initial response was pretty stellar. God bless us all!:) PATIENCE FOR EVERYONE!=)

Good news for any Paris applicants following this thread (gotta break trough all those Manilla ones)

E-cas status has just been updated from "application received" to "in-process"!

Hopefully I'll have an answer for permanent residence before my Work Holiday VISA expires the 14th of September 2015.
I was therefore wondering if anybody has any idea how long it usually takes from "in-process" to "decision made" and following to "visa issued".

Also, when I receive an answer for permanent residence, do I immediately get an open work permit?

Good luck to everyone and thanks to anybody replying my questions.

You really should apply for a change of status to visitor right now so you don't end up out of status (if you haven't already). There is no real way to say how long each app will be "in process", but from DM to Visa took about a week for us from non-visa req. country.

When you get your COPR activated and become PR you are basically now only one step down from a citizen, no more need for work permits.yy As soon as you land, you take your COPR and some other iD to Service Canada office and get your permanent social insurance number.

Yeah I know, CIC recommends to request change of status to tourist at least a month before the work permit expires.
However, as soon as I file an application to change my status and they tell me the application has been received before my work permit expires, I've heard they cannot kick me out until a final decision has been made (in regards to the change of status for me).

Reason why I'm waiting just a bit is because it costs 100 dollars just to change status (ridiculous how money hungry they are).
So if nothing changed in about a week, I'll file the application and see what happens.

quick question guys! Who receives the COPR? The sponsor or the spouse? I know for sure it’s the spouse I could be wrong? :P :P :P
