Help!!!!I just saw an update today on my husband’s application...this is what it looks like...

Permanent Residence
We received Marcus___________ application for permanent residence on April 7, 2015.
We started processing Marcus ______________'s application on May 20, 2015.

Isn’t is supposed to day medical results received first before the we started processing...?

marital status for PPR (spousal sponsorship)

hi guys just wanna ask, what is the required Marital Status upon sending you passport (for PPR) for spousal sponsorship? i sent my passport with my maiden name in it. i'm married, but still SINGLE on the passport i have sent. would it be an issue? or they will just contact me to update my passport after the processing and everything? any ideas/anwers are greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

CharisseyB - congratulations on getting some movement on your file.
As per cic below is what in process means....
If you have already submitted your applications with the medical done upfront it should not be a problem. ;)

I swear they don't pay very close attention. My wife's passport has her married name on it, we filed the application under her married name, yet we can only access eCAS under her maiden name.

Just a quick update - cic finally changed my address to my new home address. But still no activity on my husbands application. :)

I finally decided to order a copy of our notes. I don't think they'll say much, but I felt the need to do something after seeing all the people who applied well after us moving into In Progress while we sit stuck at Application Rec'd.

that is exactly how I am feeling. It took CIC 44 days to even change my address. There is no update - just the new address shows up on ECAS...
Still the status is application received April 7, 2015

Feels like living in limbo.... ??? :-[

But all we can do is wait - the comfort is that we aren't alone. :)

Hi. I noticed there's a difference when I checked ecas using my uci vs
My husband's uci.. try checking yours too.

Got confused....
We have submitted the requested documents and the Appendix A but we didn't attached my spouse's original passport as the letter didn't mention to send it. Should we send it or should we just wait until they request it again? Thanks for the input.

They will have to send you an email requesting your passport. You dont have to submit the passport yet, they will send it back to you.

thanks for the advise... both are showing the same... I will keep checking both Just in case!
thanks again.

Is everyone able to access ecas with both names? I can only see the website with my information, not my husbands.

I can access under my name and my husbands name.
Try to file number and your husband's information the number should start with F_________.

I put in my husband's DOB and Country of birth and I get his information.

Thanks very much. That worked. I would not have thought to use the Application number.
