Hi Ash,

Got an email from SP VO requesting the police certificate last week and another document. We had submitted these with our application initially. I emailed it to them and haven't heard anything. Sent them another email yesterday and no replies, nothing. I'm in the dark right now.

ECAS still showing "Application Received".

I tried calling their office but no one answers the phone.

Thanks for the update, I'm almost checking my email and the ECAS every day with no changes,, even my wife check her email everyday also with no new news,,, just wondering when they sent the email requesting the document, did they sent it to the sponsor or the spouse ?... also regarding the police certificate, we already sent them (3 of them) with the application from the start (we sent the originals) just wondering if they asked again for them that my wife have to apply gain for new ones ??

They sent the email to the sponsor and the applicant requesting the same police certificate that was included with the application.

Prezado(a) Sr(a),

Requesting multiple of the same documents would be a good way of checking for forgeries. Just a guess.

Last week, Hong Kong office sent me an email saying that they received the application. It was really long, confusing e-mail. We are now waiting for the request letter from the embassy to get police clearance from Singapore. If I don't hear from them soon, I'll probably try to send an email...
At the same time, we also applied for my SCQ 4 weeks ago. No news yet....

Hi Guys,

I was following this forum.. I've seen people from Manila VO are getting their PPR no later than 6-7 months while processing shows 17 months.

I am just curious to know what factors could contribute this change.

I am an april applicant NDVO which is showing current processing time of 16 months. Hoping NDVO would pick up as Manila VO.

The processing times showed on CIC's website is for the worst case scenario.

Quoted from scylla:
17 months is not the actual processing time. This is how long it took for CIC to complete 80% of applications. This means that 80% of applications are processed in 17 months or faster - some much much faster. This is no different than any other visa office and there is no secret. The posted processing time is not the actual or average processing time - and most applications are processed faster or much faster.
