Got my email confirming my SA today. eCAS showed the decision was made June 9, but I hadn't heard anything official until today. I had kind of thought I wasn't going to see the correspondence they claimed to have sent so it was a bit of a shock to see something from CIC in my Inbox this morning.
Congrats!
They send only one. Or email OR mail.

Thank you everyone :)

@DanSlh I haven't receive either of them.

98% approval rating and the 2% that fail did so for obvious reasons.

Wow, thanks for mentioning that Mapleson.
I am a bit stressed about our application, cause my Canadian wife lives with me abroad and she doesn't have a well paid job here right now so we are wondering if she will be approved to sponsor me. I hope we will get SA if 98% people get approved by CIC.

There is a short list of reasons why you would NOT be approved, unemployment/underemployment and current location are not on the list. They say the list is not all inclusive, but if you comply with the follow list the 98% is above 99.9%.

Why Sponsorships Fail
  • Not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Under 18
  • Failed to complete past sponsorship terms
  • Failed to pay court mandated alimony or child support
  • Current receiving Canadian welfare payments
  • Convicted of a sexual or violent crime
  • Were sponsored AS a spouse in the last 5 years
  • Failed to repay immigration loan
  • Currently in jail
  • Currently in bankruptcy

No news yet since SA...

You don't have any reason to stress out with this.
Let me tell about my case: my wife is sponsoring me.
She don't have an income, she's not working. She's a student and her college is paid by the student loan and everything went fine.
My VO also told me they are ready to issue my visa within a week after I send them my CSQ (which is suposed to arrive today or tomorrow).
So, for now, relax. It's an approval :D
