Just out of curiosity, but are all AOR and SA generally received on weekdays or have there been some who got a message on weekends as well?

It might be then that I get a message next week as maybe the reason why there is a small delay is because I will need to send another application to Quebec afterwards.

I will give CIC a call during my lunch break on Monday and see how that goes. Anyone had experience with calling CIC? What is the quickest way to get an agent on the line and what info do they request? Also can I (the sponsored person) call or does it have to be my wife (the sponsor)?

Hey Flamand, I always press French (go through French line) because I'm bilingual so if the French agent can't speak English...I just continue in French but most of them will speak English anyways. It's the fastest way to get through them! Also, since you have a work visa, you should already have a UCI number...try to login with that!

Hello everybody.

Reading this thread is really stressing me out.
I have sent my application with all the information April the 1st 2015 and got a message from Canada Post that it was received around the 6th-7th.
However, I have not yet had any message from CIC itself and by going to e-cas and filling in my receipt number it shows that perhaps my application is not even processed yet.

However, seeing that everybody here already had their AOR and even SA, I am starting to worry.
Perhaps I should call CIC monday. However, I work from 7.00 till 3.30 so I won't have much time left.

Any advice would be welcome.
I am applying trough the Outland Office of Paris.


I was in the same position as you. I still have not received a communication from CIC in writing. I had to call the call centre and I spoke to someone who gave me all of my information. Try calling them...

Same here, 50 days. But AOR was around the same time as of those who applied early April.

Monday quiet as usual, perhaps some update tomorrow Tuesday. OR may be a DM on Thursday that a letter was sent to you on Monday 8 June, just like with some cases last week
