Good afternoon! Good news for me.
I had to call the call centre and I was told the following:

File received April 7
Started processing the application May 1
Letter sent on June 1

So SA is approved.

My only concern is that my husband's file was transferred to the Port of Spain office and not Ottawa because of my husband's nationality and not his country of residency.
Either way, I am happy for the news! :D :D :D

Congratulations :)

Hello everybody.

Reading this thread is really stressing me out.
I have sent my application with all the information April the 1st 2015 and got a message from Canada Post that it was received around the 6th-7th.
However, I have not yet had any message from CIC itself and by going to e-cas and filling in my receipt number it shows that perhaps my application is not even processed yet.

However, seeing that everybody here already had their AOR and even SA, I am starting to worry.
Perhaps I should call CIC monday. However, I work from 7.00 till 3.30 so I won't have much time left.

Any advice would be welcome.
I am applying trough the Outland Office of Paris.

Hey flaming there are some case where people didn't receive an AOR and just receive their SA. Since CIC has started working on application received on April 7, you should be receiving something from them. All the first week of April Applicants their status was change to a decision has been made and a letter has been sent out. If you were to explain to your boss that you need to contact CIC just so you may have an update where they are at with your application, your boss will probably understand. I hope this helps. Stay Positive its a tough process and hard being away from your spouse.

Dear flamand on e cas you can fill sponsor applicant PR number and her/his deatail to check your status,

@kyo9000, oh no worries about not being with my wife cause I actually am living with her right now and even working in Quebec as well under the holiday worker program. I just would like to receive something from them as my work permit expires in Sept 2015. Which is not that much far away anymore.

@waiting for my turn, Also, I tried logging into e-cas by using the receipt number we got for paying the application. That gave us the message that either the info is incorrect or that CIC hasn't started processing yet. Since my wife is a Canadian citizen, is there another way i can log in to verify?

@flamand_quebec13 ah okay I see, yeah I would definitely give them a call to see where they're at with your application

Just out of curiosity, but are all AOR and SA generally received on weekdays or have there been some who got a message on weekends as well?

It might be then that I get a message next week as maybe the reason why there is a small delay is because I will need to send another application to Quebec afterwards.

I will give CIC a call during my lunch break on Monday and see how that goes. Anyone had experience with calling CIC? What is the quickest way to get an agent on the line and what info do they request? Also can I (the sponsored person) call or does it have to be my wife (the sponsor)?

In any case, thanks to everybody for their input

I received my AOR on a Saturday. And i dialled 111111 for cic :)

So upset. I realized I sent in yet another wrong document. I sent in a "Certified Copy of Marriage Registration (Long Form)" >_> I'm so dumb. I didn't read and thought they were the same but saw "Long Form" and thought "Omg I'll get that because it will have more information and they'll accept it!"

So yeah my blonde was showing. Reordering my marriage certificate before they ask so I hopefully don't slow my process. ;_; I also had to mail in my police check as we sent in a channeler copy before too.

CIC is going to hate me for sending in all these documents separately ahhh.

@jolei, that's nice to hear. But I presume you probably didn't had to wait 2 months for a message from CIC :(

Hello every one I just check now my ecas, I saw there from cic, We sent you a letter on June 4, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. It's that SA from cic? Now what next? :D
