If you check previous pages....a bunch of us that sent aplication in April 27-28 just got AOR yesterday May 20th. So should be soon for you.

Also, some people don't get AOR...they get SA directly.

Good luck!

Ours was sent last April 28 and was received in Mississauga last May 4, 2015.... No feedback so far. Hoping to receive SA directly too! :) :) :)

I think I'm going to drive myself crazy :o :P by constantly reviewing the spreadsheet and eCAS and we're only 38 days in. All the uncertainty around when my wife will finally be able to move here to be with me and not being able to plan anything. Could we be one of the lucky ones who gets COPR in six months which would perfectly coincide with the expiration of her apartment lease in the US? Will we be moving her over Christmas when I have more time off work? Will it be next year at this time?

Even though we think our application should be simple -- we're married, been together almost three years, I've only lived in Canada, never collected social assistance, she's a US citizen, no medical issues, no criminal record, etc -- there's always that little doubt that our application lands on the desk of someone having a bad day and decides to deny us. Every little thing plays into that. Two people who got AOR at the same time we did already have SA...why are we still waiting? (Even though I know the two SAs as outliers compared to the others, it still makes me paranoid.)

Sorry, nothing really to add to the conversation, just needed to vent. I hate to think what I'll be like as the process drags on for months. We just want to be together so we can experience all of life's normal daily moments that other couples get to take for granted. To not have to spend thousands of dollars on flights just to see each other, to start our family. Ack!

I feel you, everybody's going crazy over this waiting game... Yet all we can do is just pray everything goes smooth and hope that our application be processed quickly. Think positive!!! ;)

I hear you friend. I've been together with my husband (only married a few months) for about 8+ years. We've been together since we've been 16, we live with our parents still, we have countless photos and skype conversations and e-mails over the years we've sent, payment, medical, police checks... and I'm hoping for a quick, "yeah you're good!" But unfortunately the processing times in Ottawa has risen and I'm feeling a bit blue. I was hoping for my husband to be here before Christmas as well but it seems like it may even take a year at this point.

I check these forums every day hoping for some movement. I check June, July and August applicants and it seems like it's moving sooooo slow. It's disheartening but atleast I know I'm not alone. We're all in this together and this forum is going to relieve a lot of stress and sadness from me I'm sure.

Think positive :) This will all be in the past for us and once our SO's are together with us it will all be a distance memory :)

So its now the 21st, still waiting for AOR. The pain ans suffering is killing me from the inside. I have booked my flight for July to go visit my wife. I have not included that i will be visiting her again in July, should i? Can i somehow include it even tho i already submitted it?

When should i hear back? is it normal for it to take this long?

I always used the uci from my wife's pr card.
Since you can login ecas and see application received it's done:you got your aor.
When you receive SA you'll have your file number as well

What is the difference between Application# and File#?

If you have submitted there is need to submit updated document unless requested. What is your visa office?
