Hi guys! Not update today but just a contribution,

I just read in other thread that some people because of the excitement accidentally broke the COPR papers while opening the envelope with the passports.

I know it may sound nonsense but please be very careful while opening ! ;)

Best wishes to all !

I will assume that's because they cannot get a visa and most definitively not for USA. Usually embassies/consulates know that Cubans are prone to stay illegally in their countries, therefore it is not that easy to get a visa just to visit a country as a tourist, you have to prove big time that you will return to Cuba (like employment, family to take care here, properties etc etc) , but even then, people that meet all those requirements and do get a visitor visa to other countries they will remain in those countries and not return to Cuba. On another note I can see now more people trying to get to USA as soon as they can since all the modifications to laws that could/will come with the new diplomatic relationships established by Cuban and American governments, which can translate that eventually USA can abolish the Cuban Adjustment Act which allows the USA government to grant political asylum easily to Cubans since they know they will be covered eventually by the Cuban Adjustment Act. But if that get removed then Cubans will be treated by the same rules as any other illegal immigrant trying to seek refugee in the USA.

Thanks again for the explanation. Very detailed.

Good luck with the rest of the process

Not that what I just explained justify what people do, but that's my assumption of why they do it apart from some other economical/political reasons they might have.

Hi everyone!!
Just to let you know that I received confirmation from Mexico VO on Sept. 22 that they confirmed receipt of my payment of RPRF.
They stated that as soon as the RMO(Regional Medical Office) completes the assessment of med. exams an as soon as these results are sent
to their ofice, they will contact me for further instructions.
It's not relevant but it's something that tells us things are moving with steady steps forward.
It's been 2 months already since we went through the medicals!

Let's see. Apparently, it's taking around 4 months and half.
Ok folks,
I'll keep you posted!
Un abrazo.

Hi guys! Blessings to all of you!

Does anyone know how long does Mexico office takes to send passports back once they receive them? Tomorrow will be one week for me.

Also, It would be nice to open a thread of latin american settlers in Canada after all of us finally complete the landing process. Just saying! :P

Gracias y un abrazo! ;D

Hi folks,

I have a question, may be someone could give me the answer.

Last week I sent the passports to MCVO, but I didn't put the information of the applicant and the file number in the envelope. However, the first document inside the envelope is a letter from my consultant with all of the information.

Do you guys consider necessary to write to the MCVO notifying the existence of this envelope?

At this moment, we have two days to reach the deadline (15 days)

What should I do?

I appreciate your comments!!!!!

Abrazo

Congratulations Elizasalaz, I assume you will be getting your passports stamped soon.

It looks like only 6 members from the forum have not received their PR yet and 5 of them are Cubans. Let's hope our medical results speed up and we Cubans start getting our PRs.
