After going through the posts in last 3 days, the below is the summary of the actual facts till now.

NS is still on 17th march, and only 50% nomination done. Also another 150 to be added. So please don't loose hope. They will check all the applications received even after 28-Apr-14.

Just have patience.

I posted is on the facts posted on this forum by our friends.
Also I had posted auto reply received, which says, they have total approval for 700 and has only 150 under RLM. Also If they do not use maximum approvals this year, then next year, they will have less approvals. Also if nominated this year, only in 2016 and 2017, possible to immigrate. Also NS need lot of labour force from 2016 onwards, as lot of CAPEX spend on large scale projects.
Based on this, I believe, atleast 500 ppl will be nominated

It all depends on NSOI, but unfortunately there is no news from them about increasing the CAP for RLMD.

I have just talked on phone with nsoi . They told me that they are processing applications received till mid march . They didnot told me the date . Also the lady told me that they will nominate only 150 applicants . They will not increase nominations . So please take note of this as some people here are misguiding .

Increasing cap limit means NS need to talk with Federal. Furthermore, Federal is already started FSW category in April month.

It is hard to increase cap limit on RMLD stream because they need to increase total limit and we do not have an idea about other category applications data.

However, I would suggest to work on your basic necessary documents such as IELTS, Birth Certification, Education Credentials etc... because those will need in Express Entry category as well as if RMLD will be available in JAN 2015.

So you can submit your application on time and accurately.

Has Lady said clearly 17 March to you or she said mid of March?

It all depends on NSOI, but unfortunately there is no news from them about increasing the CAP for RLMD.

I also believes we can find great news from NSOI in next fewdays!!
Lets hope for the best.
Mr.Gaurav has their opinion on the basis of next year's scenario.They people wants maximum skilled workforce in 2016-17.

1 - Register, take and pass IELTS exam (general) - usually mandatory.

2- Get you credentials assessed via WES (optional for some provincial nominee but can impede your nomination if officer can't verify you credentials. if you have WES, they go with WES even if they can't verify - that's widely accepted in Canada). WES is good if your education doesn't fall under the Washington accord or other accord with Canada or IF you did not go to a well known school in India, China, Hong Kong, Philippines.

3 - Start savings as you'll need to show you have enough funds to support yourself.

Folks - After I responded to initial request for information and documents requested on August 6th ( I sent a response last night -August 11th). I got a response this morning (very fast) from my IO... asking to verify my Visa office and explain why I'm choosing Ottawa as my visa processing center.

Prior (august 6th request) - my io had asked for - last 3 months paystub, correction to my visa office on the form IMM0008(Was Sydney, Nova Scotia before I changed it yesterday to Ottawa), Updated settlement plan, revised job letter roles since 2006.

Latest (August 12th request) – Why Ottawa? Explain, or verify visa office.


Still keeping my fingers crossed. At least only one question this time to verify or explain

@ Sunny the shine.. Have you got your hard copy of nomination or have you applied to CIC with nomination Letterreceived in email?
Can i apply to CIC with nomination letter received in email or should i apply with hard copy.

Hi sorry for the late reply i am on holidays for 1week.
I am still waiting for my hard copy of nomintion.
I have also applied for police clearance so if dont get my hard copy till i get my police clearance certificate i will ask nova scotia office for courier pickup.
