Hi, everyone. I've got a questions here.
I've already got the nomination from NS. And I also applied for FSW 2014, not charged yet. Do I have to withdraw my FSW application now?
I think I have big chance to be charged and get PER. So now, I don't know what to do next. Is it possible to wait for the FSW result then decide whether to cancel NS nomination or not?
Big congrats to you. When was your application received, when did you get your file number and nomination ? This will help others estimate their chances based on the time their application was received and the code. Congrats again.
On the question of withdrawing your FSW - this is one that a senior member can weigh in on.
It depends on a few factors that are not general but specific to you. First factor is....do you want to live in NS for 2 years ? or you don't care ? If you're truly pleased with NS as your destination, withdrawing your FSW application sounds reasonable. FSW provides the benefit of being able to live anywhere. The vital step of being assessed and recommended for PR has been accomplished under the NSOI program/ Provincial nominations aslo have a high conversion rate - meaning once you're nominated and have passed the provincial guidelines, all you need is security and health hurdles and you have it. For FSW, you're not sure if you'll be positively assessed (the bird is not yet in your hand). The second factor is funds......you can start your FSW application just to see if you'll get to the assessment stage and proactively withdraw one application. Problem is you have to pay fees under FSW to even get a chance of your application to be pre-accessed.
Overall, I will contact a senior member on the site for clearer direction two applications cannot pass through the PR funnel at the time time once you get to a certain stage (you can PM the member)
